Great taste, great value. Its supposed to smell of meat as that's what it is, a little salty too as it's cured, do not put it in the fridge, let it sweat a bit cut some of the fat off and rub it back on the meat and enjoy. Or you can just buy some highly processed English ham prepacked from the supermarket if you want non smelling non tasting plastic instead.🤔🤣

We are lovers of Serrano ham and had a fantastic joint from a different supplier for Xmas and thought when finished we would buy another. This was what we bought and what a waste of money, after opening it, most has been cut off as it is too hard to eat or really greasy and fatty. It was more expensive that our previous supplier too, so do not waste your money as we have. We are really very disappointed that the supplier is selling it as it really is poor quality. Amazon need to check out this supplier as reading reviews I see we are not the only customers complaining.

You need two essential items to enjoy this to the full: a very sharp quality knife and a good bottle of rioja. Then you'll be all set for a quality culinary experience, And keep some bandaids handy because you must slice this very finely to experience the quality of the meat. Also, do plenty of fine slicing before you work your way into the wine, or you will need the bandaids, So this is not the very best you can get but for the price it's very good ,but fine slicing is essential or in thick pieces you'll think you are chewing some kind of weird gum. Recommended.

After reading the reviews about this product, I thought it can't be that bad and worth a gamble as there are mixed reviews. Bought two one for myself and one as a present. The person who I gave it to loves it. I quite like it too, except I do find it on the fatty side however it does get leaner towards the thicker side of the meat. the flavour however is to my expectation of a Serrano should be. I do think it is value for money as undoubtedly you would most likely pay double or more for a meatier leaner less fatty cut. It is flavoursome..

Gave me impression of being a 'rushed' job and a product prepared for a non-Spanish market. Apart from the excess fat (which can be cut away), the meat itself was very salty and rather soft and didn't have the flavour that I was expecting. Can't really complain as the jamon is perfectly edible and the price should have been a sufficient warning. Next time I'll go for something a bit more expensive. Don't believe the old 'pata negra' deserves the fame (not commensurate with the costs) that it has but there are many other brands that deserve attention.

It’s almost raw, like a steak and the smell when I opened the bag was unbearable, off, acidic… a health hazard for sure, I had to throw it in the bin straight away, awful! Never came across with such a poor, awful and stinky Jamón in my entire life (and as a Spanish national I had tried a lot trust me) this is the most disgustingly overpriced jamón ever!DO NOT BUY IT COULD MAKE YOU SICK

This is my second or possibly third ham from this company and I can say their service is very good.Now for the ham well other hams I have bought from other vendors have been covered in fat to the extent that the ham either goes into the bin or we spend a long old time removing the fat. The jams from this company do not have silly amounts of grease or fat.This ham was very well presented and on opening you could see and importantly smell the quality of the meat.However the proof is in the pudding as they say so taking my little old ham knife I cut a small peace off and with anticipation started to eat it. Well right of the bat the meat tasted just as I would expect it to slightly salty but boy did it taint good I closed my eyes and let the flavours in the meat run riot in my mouth.I’m impressed with the Parma Ham who ever prepared this ham hit the nail on the head worth every penny.

Very tasty I will definitely buy it again. Only downside is a pity that this package doesn't come like twin piece so that you can only open one while the other piece stays sealed and kept fresh.
