I bought the Inkbird IHC-200 WiFi Humidity Controller to manage the environment in my shed for my two Sulcata tortoises, and it has been an absolute game-changer. Keeping the humidity right for these guys is vital, and this bit of kit makes it effortless. The WiFi is a Life Saver The standout feature is definitely the WiFi connectivity. Living in the UK, the weather in a shed can change in an instant. Being able to check the humidity levels on my phone while I’m away from the house—or even just sitting on the sofa—is brilliant. I no longer have to keep walking out to the shed to check gauges; the app gives me real-time readouts and even historical graphs so I can see how the levels have fluctuated overnight. Performance & Reliability The unit itself is robust and very easy to set up (it’s basically plug-and-play). I have it set to trigger my humidifier/misting system, and it reacts quickly to any drops. The dual-display is great because I can see the current humidity and my target setting at a glance if I am actually in the shed. Why it's great for Sulcata owners: Remote Monitoring: Perfect for peace of mind when you're at work or out for the day. Accuracy: It’s much more reliable than the cheap analog gauges you find in pet shops. Alarms: You can set high/low alarms on your phone, so if the shed gets too dry, you’ll know immediately. Value: Compared to high-end reptile systems, this does the same job (if not better) for a fraction of the price. If you have tortoises or any reptiles in an outdoor setup like a shed, I can’t recommend the WiFi version of this Inkbird enough. It takes all the guesswork out of environmental control!

I purchased this item after using the Inkbird Temp controller and being impressed. This Humidity version didn't disappoint either. I now have both working in tandem with each other and they do a great job. Inkbird do a few different variants of these two items but if you go for the wifi ones like I did you get the full benefits they offer. It is a little more cash for those but even then they are better value than competitors priced twice as much. There are a couple things good and less good to make a point of for you. Pros. .Reliable as your WiFi connection! Both units i own have functioned perfectly from switch on. .The build quality is superb. Light, robust and strong, ergonomic edges, super tough plastic and easy to hang. .The app is free and really useful (get the pro one!). This RH version is the exact same graphics as the Temp one which helps and the graph and readout is a great feature. You can remotely monitor data from your grow and change the settings without the need to visit the unit and press buttons. .Accuracy. If you are like me and worry over half a degree it's important to have accurate equipment and this doesn't disappoint in many ways. Value. Half the price of its closest competition snd twice as good! Control settings. Its easy enough doing it manually when you know how but in the app you can set everything in seconds. As a little tip for anyone who wants it.. when its cold set the differential to 0.5 on the heat up option and go to 4.0 or 5.0 on the cool down option. You could reverse that when its hot. That allows your heaters to not overload and cut out. It creates a smooth momentum and prevents heating and cooling from working against each other. Cons. .Data delay. Theres 15 minutes between the graph segments and when you are inpatient it feels longer. An option to change the segments length would be nice. .The App itself. Its good but its basic in options to personalise. You can see the efforts have gone towards functionality but with those added options it could be even better. .The Probe/Sensor length. I thought the lead for the temp controller was a tad short. The RH one wasn't any longer on first view. Another few feet would help from unit to target. .The Probe/Sensor accuracy. All in all they are good enough but in my grow I have a fan controller along side these which is quicker to register changes. They do sync up from time to time and the difference isn't much but I felt this aspect let the two controllers down a tiny bit. This RH one does have a slight edge over the Temp one though. All in all this RH controller from Inkbird is awesome! I was looking for something reliable for the right price and this ticks every box. In my grow its vital the equiptment i add works how I want it to and once I put this with the Temp controller I'm now confident I can control my environment completely. With the cold UK weather I need that control. I absolutely can't recommend these Inkbird products enough and to be completely honest I don't know how I did without them for so long. They take the stress out of environmental security. If you need to control Temp or Humidity or both get yourself some of these. They do the job very well.

Save your time and money. The WiFi doesn't connect, tried everything. The manual settings are so over complicated it really is not functional

Super impressed with this. Another great Inkbird product to reassure me of keeping humidity in check in my viv; without manually controlling devices. It automatically switches on my dehumidifier when humidity rises above the set level. I don’t use a humidifier (which is also an additional option with this product) but for those looking for both options for their reptiles etc- I honestly cannot recommend this product enough! Super easy to set up and alter settings within the app. Also interesting to view the data collected.

Works as expected, app very quick and easy to use, BUT you are giving a Chinese company, and likely the Chinese govt and their sponsored hackers access to your WIFI ! I would have liked the low humidity alarm to prevent damage to the wooden parts i make, but I've deleted the app for safety. Reasonably easy to adjust settings on the device itself. Quite accurate, 4% RH out at 40% according to my dual bulb hygrometer, easy to adjust.

Does what it’s suppose to do, good buy

I own a couple of these and also a couple of Inkbird temperature thermostats. I use them in tortoise enclosures to measure relative humidy. I find them reliable and think it's worth paying that little bit extra for the model with wifi connectivity. It's much better to be able to monitor these on your phone using the Inbird app and adjust settings remotely using the app too. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this item again, should I need another.
