Best Tripod Adaptor Made
I used a spring-loaded tripod adapter for a while, but I never had much confidence in it, and would always tether my phone is some way, just it case it fell. And attempting a shot in portrait mode was completely out of the question. Finally, one of the springs did break. The adapter was still usable, but I no longer had any confidence that it would securely hold the phone. No springs here! Just a solid interlocking-C design made of high quality aluminum, and a screw mechanism that seems virtually fail-proof in its simplicity. I think you could probably run over this with a car, with no damage whatsoever. The bottom accommodates the 3 most popular camera/tripod attachment methods, and there's enough clearance for just about any tripod screw length. Could someone torque down the screw enough to damage the phone? I suppose it's possible, but not by accident. You'd have to actively be trying to damage the phone. The jaws opened up to easily fit my fairly wide Galaxy S6 (inside a Speck case), with about an inch to spare. Once the clamps are snugged down, the phone is securely held in place, with no wiggle. I suggest always using this with some sort of bumper case, as the rubber pads on the clamps are more for non-slippage than for cushioning. But nearly everyone keeps their phone in a case anyway, so not really an issue. Tilting my tripod head to shoot in portrait mode was no problem. There was simply no way that the phone could slip out.The strap on the back seems more like an afterthought. It's really only big enough to get 2 fingers through. I suppose it might be useful for shooting hand-held video. It would at least keep you from committing the sin of shooting video in portrait mode.

Finally!
I've been waiting/looking for a solid quality iPhone (& others) adapter for a long time & it finally arrived. I've been through several crappy plastic ones that break or fail in a short time. I use my phone & iPod for recording, video taping, & taking pictures. This is the one. I can attach & install out of reach to record bands or walk away for video & have confidence the phone isn't going to fall or the adapter fail the minute I install before an event. It's expensive, but it's the last one I expect to buy. Simple, solid, & well conceived. It fits all stands I own & is easy to install. Highly recommended if you're a retentive nerd like myself.

Finally something secure for action sports.
I've tried a few different phone holders and tripods for my phones, but all of them have either broken or not strong enough. Finally this Gript came along. First time I actually feel secure holding my phone snowboarding or doing other sports. Holds tight and the quality is great so far. I pair it up with the igadgitz PT310 stabilizer and tripod. A bit pricey, but with all the others I've tried I could have saved myself a lot of money by getting this one first.

5 star quality - worth the buy
Solid, Sturdy, Secure, FunctionalIt fits my iPhone 6 perfectly snug with a Pelican outdoor case still on it. It doesn't wiggle or slide no matter if I had it mounted on the tripod hanging sideways for portrait mode or regular landscape mode. I'm now planning to get a RAM mount or something similar for my car to mount it to my windshield or dash to have for fun driving shots and use for Google maps etc. Quick release and away I go with phone in hand or pocket ready for quick shots on road trips.Theres not much else to say. I had been researching all kinds of smart phone holders as I wanted to have a way to use my phone to film and do photo shots that didn't need a full camera system. This was the answer.Pro -All metal constructionEasy 2 finger size adjustment and tighting/losseningAdjustable velcro finger strap1/4-20 top mount location for led light, mic, handle, GoPro,another smartphone with Gript mount, etc, etcSticky rubber pads to hold the phone in the clamp3 common tripod mounting methods on the bottomLooks good and professionalCons -I only have one, buying some more to give as gifts and have a spare or 2 around for others to use.

LoVe IT!!!!! Perfect pair with FUGETEK selfie stick!
Adds phenomenal level of sturdy grip to the device. Sometimes holding a device bare feels like it may slip out of your hand when trying to take a picture or video. No more, with GRIPT, no fear of dropping your expensive device. My best application of GRIPT is to combined it with FUGETEK selfie stick, its a perfect pair. Sturdiness of the stick and solid construction of GRIPT provide a promising device when traveling.Great gift for photo fanatics. As for the sturdiness, lets just say I connect my iphone to the GRIPT which was attached to the FUGETEK selfie stick, I dangled the phone of the edge of Burj Khalifa and took this picture. Hope that gives you a sense of sturdiness.

If you are thinking about buying this product, you should buy it.
I debated between the extra functionality of this product vs a slimmer phone mount for a long time. I figured with a slimmer product I could use the flexible tripod as a handle of I wanted to. That method works pretty well, but after taking this on a hike I'm confident I made the right choice. The phone on the tripod is not supper stable and made me somewhat nervous. The finger strap on this thing was a fantastic idea! I ended up unintentionally carrying my phone during the entire hike instead of stowing it because it was so easy and comfortable. It really makes your phone stable and gives you confidence to take pictures anywhere. Plus it's made by a company out of Oregon which is awesome.
