Disappointing quality
I ordered the soan halwa from haldiram. I've purchased it recently from their outlet in sarita vihar, Delhi. Impressed with the taste i ordered again online thro Amazon. For the same price i suspect i received a larger packet. The taste however was a serious disappointment, nowhere near the outlets. I would not buy haldiram online again

Too chewy
Having eaten Soan halwa since childhood I am used to its 'melt-in-the-mouth' quality. Here's my honest review;Pros:1) Alluring aroma so typical of soan halwa2) Glistening with ghee as it should3) Very well packed4) Brittle and easy to bite off chunksCons:1) It says to consume within 24 hrs of opening the packet2) A very big disappointment for me was that it was very chewy and sticks to all the cavities in your teeth. Eventually melts, but I am used to soan halwa melting in the mouth without sticking to the teeth.In conclusion: Good product but I might not buy it again because it is too chewy for my liking. This is my personal opinion. Otherwise it is a good product.
