If your dog (or cat) scratches your screen, this is a good solution. Fits most doors & prevents scratching/tearing of the screen. There's still enough space for air-flow, but I assume it is less with grille. My dogs range between 10-30lbs, so I'm not sure if it would be strong enough for bigger dogs.

Installed on my sliding screen door to keep my jack wagon of a German Shorthair Pointer from running through it. It works great. Easy install. Measure twice, order once.

The grille arrived undamaged. It is sturdy and looks good. Probably, it will keep visiting Golden Doodles from running through the screen, and keep our little dogs from damaging the screen when they are outside & want in. I wish the grill could be ordered in the exact size needed. I scratched the finish while hand-trimming with a hacksaw and without clamps. Also, then needed a file or sandpaper to smooth the resulting sharp edges. Overall, I would buy again.

Got two shelties that love to jump. Bought a screen door with no solid bottom and needed something to protect the screen. Couple drilled holes (so you'll need a drill and drill bits) and it comes with decent enough screws. Very easy to install

Literally saved my door! My dogs love to jump up at my screen doors which rips the screen. Put this over the screen and it protects it. Plus I’m now able to have my window up on the screen door without having to worry about my dogs breaking the screen and getting out

It works for the most part, although my dog realized that the sides were not protected, and they poked down the screen. Because of this grille, it's extra hard to put the screen back in. I wish it were the middle part that were unprotected and expandable/contractible, because it would be harder to poke down. On a side note, because some of the reviews I read complaint about missing screws, I initially thought mine didn't have any, either, when I first opened the package, and didn't see any. I was about to return it, when I decided to check one more time, and found them taped behind the paper cover. Leave this here in case it helps anyone.

This item fit my screen door perfectly, and it’s just enough of a deterrent to stop my two big dumb dogs from blasting right through the screen door every time they see a real or imagined squirrel.

The screen protector is a nice well made product. Should keep the dogs from blowing through the screens.
