I use this as my go to for tacos! soo good.

Delicious, medium heat with the unique flavor that chiltepin brings. Not too hot for the average hot sauce person to enjoy.

This is a very nice, straight-ahead Mexican hot sauce made from the chiltepin pepper, a tiny pepper also known as the bird's eye. The flavor is a powerful combination of very salty, somewhat sour, and quite spicy, with a chili punch that's hot but not overpowering or death-defying. It has the characteristic fast-burn heat of the chiltepin, which hits you quickly and also leaves your mouth fairly quickly, lacking the slow burn and build-up of the habanero and other similar hot chilis. It's a great hot sauce that you can use on anything, and I'll be using it a lot — I might have wished for a little less than the tons of salt and MSG this obviously contains, but I can't complain about the delicious, earthy, spicy chili flavor it brings.

This is a wonderful condiment. But as the headline states, it could use some heat.
