Home gym essential!!!!
Amazing quality, have had it for around 9 months and couldn’t be happier, perfect for laying leg curls, leg extension and more recently I have been rigging it up to do 45 degree back extensions (platform to stand on per short legs!) love the simple black and white, easy assembly , durability, and best of all the price. Highly recommend!

Amazing
I’m a serious power lifter at 6’ 275lbs and have slowly added equipment over the years. I always wanted a leg curl/ext at home for squats, but was always worried about sturdiness. This has been an amazing find. It fits my size, is sturdy, heavy, and feels very close to the commercial feel. It’s has good rom for my build, and has been a great add to my collection.

Genius design
I never write reviews but I had to make an exception for this product. This is a high quality, heavy duty, very smooth, very stable machine with very detailed assembly instructions. All necessary wrenches are provided. The quality of the machine far exceeds the price point. But it is the design of the machine that is really outstanding. Most home leg extension machines have the weights sitting on top of the foot pad bar. This results in there being no resistance at the bottom of the movement. Some recent studies in exercise physiology have shown the most important part of any exercise is when the muscle is in the fully stretched position. For the leg extension, this occurs at the beginning of the movement. The A-shaped design of the the weight bearing assembly on this Deltech machine produces this important beginning resistance.

Sturdy but not perfect.
Now that I had a few days to use this leg extension/curl machine, I’m giving my opinion to help my fellow shoppers. This machine is very heavy and built with thick structs. It very sturdy and does not flex at all. The pads are thick and should last a long time.I have 3 negatives. First is that there was only one flange bushing in the box. This is essentially the bearing that the only moving part pivots on. There should be 2 in my opinion. My machine arrived on a Friday of a 3 day weekend and I didn’t want to wait several days, so I purchased another bushing and was able to complete my assembly. With the second flange bushing installed, the bolt is now a bit short to fully engage the self locking nut. I’m not sure if this unit is designed to use 2 bushings. I suppose I could have waited and call back after the long weekend, so no stars taken off for this. (The flange bushing is available: Hillman 58102 Flange Bearing, Bronze 1/2 X 3/4 X 1 X 1/2-Inch, 4-Pack)Second is the machine is unnecessarily high at the business end. The highest point near the pivot point is 28.5 inches! This maybe ok, but the front is only 20 inches tall. The 8.5 inch drop makes it tricky to get up from doing hamstring exercise. I removed the handles at the middle to make it easier to unmount. If you have mobility issues, then this could cause difficulty getting in and out. Subtract 1 star. The last point and I think the most important is that for me (6 ft, 180 lb) it’s impossible to properly line up the center of rotation for my knees with the center of the pivot point while doing extension or curl. This misalignment will put a bit of extra stress on the knee joints if I push hard with heavy weights, so start easy and pay attention. I wish the pivot point was extended out another 2 inches, or make the sitting surface adjustable. Subtracting another star.Given the 3 negatives, I would still recommend this machine because given the price it’s so well built and is functional.(Update after 1 month of use).I’m adding 1 star for high quality of the build; the movement is very smooth especially with 2 flange bushings at the pivot.

Gym at home!
The leg extension and prone leg curl machines are a few of my favorites at any gym. I am sure a lot of us feel the same way. These are a great way to hit our leg muscles separately from doing traditional exercises like squats or deadlifts. After reading reviews, I was confident in purchasing this machine. The leg extension feels great, I don't like the way the handles are set up, I have to lean back a bit and I find myself holding the pad itself and not the handles. You CAN set it up to have the handle facing the opposite way so I might prefer it better that way but it is not a huge deal to me.The prone leg curl feels great. With only 10's on each side, it felt challenging. Unlike cable machines commonly found in the gym, since the machine is plate loaded there is a different force curve. It is harder during the first half of the movement, but this is also good because you can and should control the movement as the weight passes back through the axis point (the middle or sticking point, during the eccentric phase, "on the way down").With "not great" knees and ankles, I would sometimes take trips to the gym to just do these exercises and now I don't have to as I have this machine at home. I really like this machine and it was worth the purchase.
