Great gaff for the money!
We have already used this gaff several times on our boat. We have only used it for sharks, about 30-40 pound size, to control while fishing with children. The hook is nice and sharp and goes through the tough shark skin without difficulty. Im surprised by how strong it is when fully extended. It flexes a little, but does not seem to get close to breaking. We have already landed three sharks with it and hopefully will continue many years! No issues with rusting or wear from the salt water so far. Highly recommend for the casual fisherman wanting to control large fish.

Perfect lightweight gaff!
Gaff is lightweight, sturdy and hook is sharp with protector. Easily extends in 3 stages with tightening on 1st and 2nd stage, last stage doesn't tighten but shouldn't be a problem when hooking a fish.

Great product compact and extends
Bought this mainly because of the compact size and the color that matches my boat. Have not tested it on a big fish yet but works good for average size Red Snapper and Groupers.

Hook is great but pole is not as sturdy.
Handy but must be used “in-line”. Any cross force will bend the pole.
