Great for general coloring
Great for general coloring, not great for brush lettering. After one heavy down stroke, the brush tip is flattened. You can manipulate it back, but it's not practical for lettering use.

Great for colouring - Not for lettering
I like them, they are odourless and bright, perfect for colouring. However I do wish the brush tip was a bit softer since I wanted to use them for lettering. They arrived on time.

The large ended tips start to fray pretty quickly. I noticed it happening after only using them twice on coloring book pages. I like the colors though. They aren't streaky looking and don't bleed.

LOVING MY CROWN ART DUAL TIP BRUSH PENS after I was told that I should try coloring to relax more. I started with crayons but found that the colors were not bold enough. The first time I tried the brush tip I thought it too flimsy and quickly abandoned the pens in lieu of others I had purchased. I gave it another try and realized how smooth they were to work with. The fine tip is not actually a brush so the hairs won't separate. I actually like it for outlining - although I've read and agreed that it is great for wider areas. The colors are bold and inviting and there are 12 to choose from. (The order does not contain "12 Packs" as in the title - but "12 Pens".. The second side of the pen is quite hard compared to the brush side. I think it "bleeds" easier on paper, which is great for combining colors. I really like these pens and I'm hoping the water based color doesn't wear out. (Hope you can see the difference between crayons and the Crown Art Pens.

Bright, opaque colors; marker set incomplete
The markers were all very pigmented and brightly colored. They are very opaque, and blending on paper is not very easy; if you go over the same spot too many times in an attempt to blend, the paper will start to degrade (or perhaps I just need stronger paper). Do try out their suggested method of blending: draw on the plastic case with a dark colored marker, then take a lighter color and go over the same area with the marker. When you then apply the mixed colored marker on paper, the blending can turn out smoothly. The brush nib is stiff compared to other brands like Prismacolor, so it sometimes feels as though I am using a regular marker, only wider, to color.Unfortunately, my package came with one marker missing from the set--it's the orange marker. However overall these markers are decent for coloring, although if you are looking to do more advanced and detailed blending, these may not be the right markers for you.

The tip ends are quite hard and tend to tear the paper a bit. The brush ends work very well. The brush stroke look lessens as the ink dries.

I have 2 young boys and some nights when they are in in bed I love to pull out my coloring books and relax and destress, and I've been looking for just the right kind of markers that would not leak through the paper and would give me the control that I was looking for, when I came across these marks I was not sure if they would meet my expectations. I was feeling guilty spending the money and not know if I would like them or not! I have to say these are the best mark, I love how detailed I can getting my pic. They don't bleed through the paper, and most of all they brush on like a paint and its amazing! I find myself wanting to buy more books just so I can use my amazing markers!

You'd think they'd be amazing and color like a pro
Def not work the money, but whatever. That's what happens when you shop online. You'd think they'd be amazing and color like a pro. They have a very small window from when they're actually received to be returned, so it's virtually impossible to do so. They dry out quickly and run heavily through the paper to whatever is on the back or underneath. They also stain skin, so if you're picky about it not washing off easily that's good to know.
