"Seller" Beware
As a dog training enthusiast, it's quite challenging to find useful product reviews when some people just don't understand what a dog training tool, like this one, is appropriately used for. While technically "a toy", these "toys" are actually "training tools" and like most tools, the user needs to be taught how to interact with it properly. In this case, the dog needs to be shown how to use it without destroying it!When used properly, these toys can actually last a very long time and provide a great deal of fun for both you and your dog. You just need to use a bit of common sense. For starters: These are NOT "chew toys"."But, you train your dog to "chew" on it and "bite" it for a reward! Isn't that a contradiction?"No! Because the interaction is controlled by the handler! It's unlikely your dog will destroy this toy when interacted with properly! These toys are a conditioned, and interactive, reinforcer: a reward to help you train your dog and build a phenomenal bond with them! Even if you don't want to use it for training, it's still great for building a bond with your dog! You just need to use it appropriately and with common sense. It's frustrating to read so many negative reviews from people that ALLOW their pet to destroy this tool and then "blame the product". (What do you MEAN I can't use this electric drill underwater?! This thing is a piece of junk and failed after only 5 seconds of use!!)When trained and used properly, this toy will last an appropriate amount of time. But like most things that are used in an aggressive, impact driven manner, they do experience wear and tear and occasionally require replacement (think of baseballs and tennis balls, when used appropriately.) I think most experienced dog trainers understand this.Anyhow, the title is a tongue-in-cheek poke at all the people who write unhelpful reviews regarding products they don't understand how to use properly. It's also a poke at the sellers/manufacturers for not standing up for themselves and informing people that these are "interactive toys" (like most dog training toys) and should be interacted with appropriately in order to get the best use out of the product. As a trainer, it's annoying when you're trying to figure out whether or not a training tool is of decent quality, but you have to sort through dozens of negative reviews by people that technically aren't even using it correctly. This is a great product and when used with a little common sense, you really can't go wrong with it.

Holds up to our German Shepherd!
This has become our dog’s favourite training tool! The ball is very durable and can be thrown a country mile! Will be ordering a second one to keep at camp as well!

Best toy I’ve ever gotten for my dog
The toy allows you to interact with your dog in a way that I didn’t realize was so important until I adopted a dog who was ball obsessed and a bit disconnected. We have bonded so much over this toy and it has held up so much better than 95% of the toys I’ve gotten, which have all been labeled as high-quality or durable. It is perfect for playing fetch and for tugging, as well as training. The only thing worth noting is that the rope is thin enough that it can be uncomfortable to tug with a large or strong dog. I usually wrap a leash around my hip and hook it to the rope when we are doing intense tugging (because my 75 pound dog would win otherwise). If you do go for a tug toy that has a more comfortable handle, it will not bounce and be easy for a dog to run around with in the same way. This rope makes the weight heavily in favor of the ball, so it acts more like a ball and the dog is more inclined to grab the ball.I think this toy finds right balance of ball to rope.
