SEXY LEDS LED Chandelier Candelabra 400 Lumens 50 Watt Replacement Silver Flame

I purchased these LED candelabra bulbs based on their longevity, energy-efficiency, high luminal quality and appearance. They (the Sexy LED brand) were priced more reasonably via Chin Chin lighting on Amazon rather than on the manufacturer's website.However, after the first 2 to 3 months, one had stopped working. I originally purchased over a dozen, so I was hoping it was a fluke. I was not able to find a way to contact Chin Chin directly so I had to contact Amazon. Amazon took care of the problem and issued a refund. I placed an order for the same bulb (from the same seller) as a replacement.Not even two weeks later, four more of the bulbs had stopped working! At this point, I knew it couldn't have been a fluke, but rather they were most likely knock-offs of the actual brand LED bulbs. Amazon again came to the rescue and I will not be re-purchasing from the same seller. I am getting concerned if the remaining bulbs may also stop working.Also, if this helps, the color varies from one bulb to another. I am currently looking up at them as I am writing this, and two of the bulbs have more of a yellow color and three have a pinkish color. They are fairly bright, dim well but do not fully dim.**********I am updating this review to report that an additional 8 bulbs have since stopped working! This includes both the silver and gold bases. I see that the seller has since changed the description from, "Sexy LED's" to , "ChinChinLighting." I imagine they are the same exact bulb.

To preface, I had purchased direct from SexyLEDs their 4W, 40 Watt replacement 320 lumens bulb and loved it ($20), needed 2 more for a ceiling fan. I see this for half the price and figure I can return it if it is wrong. Well... it looks to be about the same brightness as the one from direct... it is branded just like the other bulb with SexyLED on it and it says 5W... but there is no way that it is brighter than the other one if anything, just a hair dimmer... the only problem I see is that the color is whiter... it says right on it that it is around 2850 K which is whiter than the 2700 K of the other one I have... but not that big a deal as I'm just going to buy 2 more of the same.For the record, I bought this from ChiChinLighting, I see in the reviews that the other sellers are not bright at all (I couldn't tell you as I did not order from them)... btw these are slightly brighter in my opinion than the small incandescent 40W bulbs I was using which would burn out every few months due to poor ceiling fan design, the fan casing gets really hot and burns them out quickly, but I love the fans, hoping these will work much better as they don't heat up anywhere near as much as regular bulbs. And for those that have special sizing needs, I had to break the glass to make them fit, it was quite easy to do with a hammer, just tap the glass, done, works perfectly.I am very happy with the bulb so far, of course it's only been a day. Would say 5 stars but the description is wrong. Shipping Prime got here on time in 2 days.Update: May 2015: I am dropping these down to 1 star as they are total garbage. Both burned out before 1 year and 1 was done after 1 month. The other bulb that I paid $20 for is still burning brightly, so it appears that these are indeed fake junk, too bad, I had high hopes that these would be just as good for half the price. The others have dropped to $15 or so now, but still. DO NOT BUY THESE.

These were sold as SEXY LEDS but they were NOT the same as previous bulbs we purchased from SEXY LEDS. The real SEXY LEDS we purchased earlier are still working beautifully despite being used longer. Two of the five of these died within six months. After contacting the manufacturer and discovering these were FAKE, we returned them. (Amazon was great about processing the return.)The bulbs actually look nice and emit a fine light, the quality is just not the same as the real thing. When looking closely at the real bulbs compared to these, the manufacturing differences are obvious. These are a cheap knockoff of the real thing that do not last. In the photo, the real SEXY LED bulb is the one in gold; this fake is the one in silver.Do not buy from ChiChinLighting!

I purchased six bulbs to replace 40 watt incandescent bulbs. To me, my six 40 watt bulbs are too bright so I didn't mind the idea of a little less light. And I needed something that was omni-directional and attractive. When I got these bulbs I was impressed at the quality. They felt good. They were lovely. I was excited to install them. If all bulbs looked like this, we'd stop making lamp shades. After installation, I turned them on and I was underwhelmed. They do give off an omni-directional light. However, they aren't even close to 40 watts. In my mind they are somewhere between 25-30 watts. The six bulbs left my hallway looking dingy at night. Also, the color wasn't quite 2700k. It wasn't as warm as incandescent bulbs. Not bright white, but definitely had a white bluish tinge. Not bad, and wouldn't have been a deal breaker for me. But the lower light output was not doable for me. I was really sad. I had high expectations, but I had to return these bulbs. If you have lower light needs, they would be great bulbs. If you need 40 watts, these aren't the bulbs.

I put it in my chandelier and turned it on. I saw a brief display of sparkles inside the bulb, then nothing. Burned out. Write off the $27+. Not worth the hassle to return. Fortunately, I bought just one, the first of a planned 5. While it is distributed by SexyLED, the brand name on the container box is Light the Future. Repeated a hard lesson. As other reviewers of LED bulbs have stated, stick with major brands. I have bought a fair number other LEDs from, Philips, Sylvania, and EarthLED, and all are functioning.

died after 10 months of use, probably 2 hours a day, so died after 400 hours, otherwise loved them,Suddenly smelled bad and stopped.

We bought 8 of these for our chandelier, all within the past 1.5 years. 3 of them have burned out already. NOT WORTH THE $13/BULB WE PAID!!!!!

unfortunately the unit I used this in had a high and low setting... during a power failure, the unit went to low, and caused the bulb to burn out.
