Perfect Results
This product is amazing. I used it to dye faded areas on a handbag. It was easy to apply and blended beautifully into the areas that didn’t require dye. You cannot see the difference. The dyed areas even took on the same satin finish as the rest of the bag. It’s perfect.

Super easy to use, this dye CAN be used on larger items than shoes, i.e.: jackets, with very good results!
I did an almost PhD research on how to restore a black leather jacket that had lost its black color where my purse rubbed with it and where the hands go inside the pockets. The "professional" dyes sounded like very risky and a lot of mess, plus they needed a deglazer before and a sealer afterwards. I decided to buy the Kiwi dye and use it in a hidden spot on the jacket. It went on well. I applied it close to the pockets and it covered all the rubbed off areas pretty well, so I went ahead and covered all the faded spots. I had to apply a bit more on some very worn out areas, but the Kiwi dye ended up covering everything without strikes and without anyone being able to tell where the dye had been applied and where it wasn't. My jacket rejuvenated to an almost new appearance! The only telling sign was a slightly different finish to the touch on the dyed areas, but nothing evident. I waited 24 hours, as per the instructions and I polished the dyed spots. They came out looking even better, and no dye at all came off on the polishing rag. I am totally satisfied. Good price, no mess, quick application, excellent results. No need of pre- and post- products, other than thoroughly cleaning the jacket with a rag impregnated with slightly soapy water to wipe away dirt/oils. What else could one wish for? So do not believe what Marcus wrote in another review. This dye CAN be used to restore larger items, with very good results. And I am not the only reviewer who says so!

Get more out of your shoes
I have a few pair of older black shoes that have some cuff/worn marks on them. They're in okay shape otherwise but I feel a little embarrassed wearing them. These shoes have slightly different type of finishes - one is a pair of very shiny dress shoes, another one is slightly less shiny more appropriate for work and a pair is more casual and not shiny at all.I find that this product works welll with all of them. If you look at them closely you can still see the imperfections but from a couple of feet (normal height) they're no longer noticeable. So this is able to breathe new life into older shoes. On first use, I applied the dye per directions then applied some leather protection spray and then buffed them. On one pair, the worn spot was showing again so I reapplied the dye (only).I think reapplying will be a periodic occurrence and probably depends a lot on if I'm careful with my shoes which I'm not (I use my feet to hold doors, push things, sometimes I sit with my toes on the floor, etc.)Good product. 4 out of 5 only because it's not a permanent fix.

Guitar amp tolex solution
Hi, I purchased the Kiwi black color dye to cover spray paint on a speaker cab I purchased. I tried to remove paint using paint thinner and many other cleaners but was it started to causing damage to the cabs tolex. I applied Kiwi dye to an unexposed interior tolex area and noticed dye beading up rather than soaking into that portion of the tolex.. I decided to apply to painted area guessing that the prior paint thinner and other cleaners I used earlier may have created a more porous tolex ready to receive the Kiwi black dye. First coat covered 90% of the paint on tolex. Second coat made cab tolex look like new with no under paint exposed. Kiwi applicator pad makes it easy to apply even thin coats. Dye dries within about 10 mins and ready for a second coat if needed. A few hours later I used a white cotton cloth to rub tolex in dye applied areas to check for transfer to other surfaces. White cloth had no black dye transfer. Kiwi dye was the perfect fix. I hope this helps.
