Excellent filament at a budget price!
I teach 3D printing at a k-8 school level and at university level and I go through a LOT of filament. I am always looking for a less expensive option for filament for my students, who are often teachers at schools themselves. I use an Afinia printer both at the school and at home. I have tried many lower priced filaments and have not been as happy with any of them as I am with Purl. So far, I have gone through 2 rolls of filament from them and each one produced pristine quality prints. Unless something changes in using future spools, my recommendation is a hearty thumbs up!

Don't do it
Worst filament I have ever tried. No matter how I tweaked the settings t would not print anything properly. I have printed with exotics and never even had this issue. Don't do it.

Good quality and air tight packaging
Very good quality filament, works well on my custom 3d printer. No edge curling compared to many other brands. Note, sealed enclosure is a must for printing ABS.Dimentionally stable and packaging is air tight.Printed at 225'c

The best budget ABS I have tried
The best budget ABS I have tried. I've used the white and the black. Both gave me no trouble all the way through the spools.

More cream/ivory than pure white. Good stuff
Nice, clean prints. No smell. I print it at 230C with 110c for the bed. Will get more when I run out.

Quality product for a great price!
I finally had a chance to load some of the PURL SCIENTIFIC 1.75mm ABS in my printer. This material appears to be every bit as good as the MakerBot ABS True Black. It seems to process better than the Solidoodle ABS I have use in the past. Some specific things I have noticed about this material are as follows:1. good adhesion to the build plate at 105°C plate temperature2. flows well from nozzle at 227°C extruder temperature (slightly lower than where I run the MakerBot material)3. packaged in a vacuum sealed poly bag with a desiccant pouch to keep it dry.4. reacts as expected to acetone solvent bonding and finishing (some of the cheap "ABS" filaments out there are not what they claim to be)I highly recommend this material.
