Definately a superior product - Pay the small upcharge 0r regret it
These rubber bands don't harden up and break like the cheaper competitors. The are also more elastic, and isn't that what you are buying them for. Unless you use thousands of rubber bands a year, pay up, get the best, or you will be throwing out the dried out, broken and inferior rubber bands.
