The tool works great for removing carbon on your BCG. It has several features that are handy. It will also tighten up a castle nut, but I use my armorer's wrench for that. You could use it if that was the only thing you had. I keep it with my rifle in my rifle cleaning kit. Overall I would recommend. It's a great multipurpose tool. I do recommend this

A lot smaller than I thought. You can either look at that as a good or a bad thing, small enough to fit anywhere but also small enough it might be a pain to use if you really need to scrape your bcg hard. It looks well constructed and durable I have no doubt it will clean those hard to reach places when I need it

A must have to clean an AR platform weapon.

I bought this item to remove a castle nut and to replace the sling on an existing weapon that I own. The price was reasonable. But I'm not impressed with the design. It could be longer to give more leverage when trying to remove the castle nut and doesn't provide enough grip when trying to use. Causing it to slip. The reasonable price doesn't offset the lack of functionality.

This tool is awesome. I wish I had it while I was in the Marine Corps and needed to clean my rifle after a week or two of hard use. The tool is specifically designed to clean the tough to reach parts of the BCG. I can get through tough deposits of carbon without wasting time scrubbing with the small end of a cleaning brush or going through a ton of cotton swabs. If you beat up your AR, or are in the military and are tired of your armorer not accepting your rifle then you need this tool. It will save you TIME! It's compact enough where you can add it to your range pack or if you're going to the field, it won't take up the precious space in your pack pogey bait and dip, RAH!

This tool is small and very hard to use. The hard material hurts your hands and I would be surprise if anyone was able to loosen a castle nut with this thing. There is no way to get any leverage without taking a hammer to it.. I ended up damaging my threads more then anything. I will be purchasing the bigger one for sure. I’m sure it will do fine in cleaning, but I would much rather use a different method.

This is a useful and necessary tool for cleaning AR bolt and bolt carrier. It eliminates tedious scrubbing of difficult carbon buildup. A fair price for a quality tool.
