Two kittens and a cat enjoy this toy. It keeps them playing for about ten minutes- which is pretty good, because they get bored easily. If the spin is as random, it would be even better.

This is a hit!! My 2 1/2-year-old cat loves this toy. She couldn't wait for me to set it down. She plays with it each time I get it out. I like that it comes with a back-up butterfly. The current butterfly is looking a bit beat up with a hole or two. No matter - lots of life left in it before I need to change it out for the spare. Definitely a winner in my book!

This is a fun toy. It spins around pretty quickly in a circle making the butterfly flutter around. The cats liked it for a while but got bored of it. I have a friend whose cats really love it, so it just depends on your cats personality if they will like it or not. Maybe better kittens than adult cats.

Well my cats don’t like it as much as. Maybe because of the loud noise that it makes but if it can fly further then this would be a 5 for sure.

She's lying near it because she knows she wants to play again at any minute.My cat can be picky with what she plays with. I'm so happy this was a hit! She likes to chase bugs and the motion of this toy is perfect. It has a little bounce to it in addition to the fluttering. Toy just goes in a circle but it is on a long wire so it bounces all over the place if swatted or attacked.If you buy this, but the replacement butterfly pack of 3 too. The butterfly is made of paper and the ribbons can get pulled off.Pros:-butterfly with ribbons moves a lot like a big would with that fast, jerky motion.-it can handle being caught and held onto for a little bit. Just don't let your cat sleep on it or pin it down for more than a few mins or you risk damaging the motor.-the butterfly and ribbons are fairly sturdy at staying on (or maybe my car has gotten more gentle?) If she starts chomping on it the butterfly can get ruined since it is just paper, after all. It can handle being grabbed and kicked and usually pulls free before too much damage is done.-she never gets bored with it-I have recommended to friends and their cats loved it too-Very, very easy to replace the butterfly bit - it just pops out. If you're crafty you could reuse the wire and put something else on there and continue to use it with the toy.Cons:-if your cat grabs it and chews really aggressively on the butterfly you're going to use up butterflies quickly. I started storing mine somewhere cat free when she wasn't playing with it to reduce paper butterfly destruction.-no timed auto off functionality. MANUFACTURER -PLEASE ADD THIS FEATURE! Any cat owner knows we're going to get bored long before our cat and we walk away to do other things while they play. This is only on/off with no timed auto-off function so I burn through batteries fast and can only let her play with it when I know I can be around to turn it off. Hate that I can't turn it on as I'm leaving the house or going to bed.-takes 3 AAA batteries. Since it burns through batteries fairly quickly this can get annoying.-battery case requires a screwdriver. Again, replacing batteries often - just make it a latch close for the battery compartment instead of requiring a screw driver.-doesn't bother me but maybe will others? The toy is a little loud with the motor and the butterfly moving. I find most cat toys to be pretty loud and this is on par with that.This toy will be an amazing addition to your cat's toy collection to keep their brain entertained. At the price I highly recommend you get it for your cat friend as odds are good your bug -loving it bird -loving cat will get a lot of use it of it.I did not receive any products, commission, or any benefit of any kind for this review. My cat, I think, was not happy with the noise when this is turned on. Its not loud, but there is a motor sound. I can get her to play with it a little when its off, but she heads the other direction if you turn it on. Sadly another meh toy for my my fraidy cat. I'll keep trying, maybe she'll get used to it.

This is the best toy ever! My cat will not stop playing and leaping over it to catch the butterfly and just is enthralled for hours!!!! She runs from room to room and comes abck to grab it and wrestle and then runs away to do the same thing over and over...what exercise!!! Wish I had ordered one of these 2 years ago when we rescued her.

The media could not be loaded.  We got a new kitten, so I wanted to get him some fun toys to drain his energy when I didn’t have time to do a full play session with him. A friend from quilt class suggested this toy & I bought it. Wasn’t so sure how it would work, if it was sturdy enough or if he’d even like it. It takes 3 AA batteries, I turned it on, and Kitty loves it! The butterfly with neat colored tail has a very nice flutter effect that’s really real & keeps him playing. The metal wire is nice and sturdy to remain upright, but flexes perfectly when Kitty bats at it. I definitely wouldn’t use it unsupervised as Kitty is strong. I just got off work and don’t have energy to play right now. Gave it to him & It’s very fun to watch him play ! A great toy I will put into rotation with his other toys.

Mis gatos se lo pasan genial con este juguete interactivo, después de jugar un buen rato quedan agotados y a dormir, yo se los pongo media hora antes de acostarme y me va muy bien. Hace un poco de ruido pero es tolerable.

Le encanta a los gatitos pequeños, tiene buen tamaño.

A mis gatitos les encanto, solo que si tu gatito es agresivo con los juguetes probablemente le quite fácilmente la mariposa, pero viene un repuesto. La batería si dura mucho.

Good Quality. My cat's just were not interested in it but the item is cool. Would be super good for younger kittens/cats.
