Definitely buy this if you are looking for a product that only lasts a month. This is cheap cheap cheap, first the little metal rod in the back came off with no way to put it back on, but since I really didnt understand the purpose it served I didnt mind. Today however the safety holder came apart completely. Let me just say I wasnt thrilled with it even before it fell apart, the protruding metal spikes dont come out far enough to be really useful, unless you dont mind throwing out a third of whatever you are slicing. Also, perhaps because the blade wasnt sharp enough it wasnt a smooth motion but it often got stuck in mid slicing. This was a total waste of money!

This mandoline has been a life saver in our house and works great! Only missing one star because I noticed some damage on the white part of the veggie holder after using only a few times (part of it was slicing off along with my veggies).

It works great, but sometimes when cutting potatoes to make french fries, the potato can stop and get jammed for a bit.Much easier than cutting the french fries.

Hard clean up, the blade was not sharp. Bound to take some meat off your hands at some point. Probably works great on onions, not great on anything else (tomatoes, apples, celery, ect)

The overall product is O.k. but I don't care for the slicers they too small and turn the vegies into mush.

This little food slicer is excellent for all types of veggies and herbs. Please be extremely careful, follow the instructions and definitely use the slicer guard. The blades are very sharp.
