Patchouli is definitely the predominate scent, but it does have a nice woodsy note with vanilla and cedar in the background. Lasts the day, with no skin irritation.

I didn’t wear patchouli for the longest time. This scent made me LOVE IT! I’m not a fan of your typical atomizer perfume... synthetic smells is not for me! The more natural the better! I was going to buy the spray (which I will at a later date) but I decided to go for the roller ball to keep in my bag and it’s a little more sustainable on the skin. This I would say is more cedar dominate, hence the name of the product, with an under note of patchouli. Also I don’t smell the vanilla. I’m totally obsessed! High quality as well which is SUPER important. Even has directions how to reuse the packaging it comes in! Long story short, five stars and I’m now in love with the Frankie and Myrrh company!

To be honest, I almost returned this. The first time I wore it, the scent was overwhelmingly cedar forward. A few days later I grabbed the sweater that I wore while trying this fragrance on and noticed it smelled wonderful. I decided to give it another try, this time really working it into my skin to warm it up. It seems to soften and sweeten up a bit over time. In my personal opinion, I still think it would be perfect without the cedar but it's starting to grow on me. (As a side note, it smells similar to my favorite candle, Patchouli Oud by DW Home. Definitely recommend it if you like this fragrance. ) TLDR; Cedar forward but as it warms up on the skin and becomes a bit sweeter. The final scent is sweet but definitely lives up to its woodsy name.

I don't know the last time I wrote a review, but this product and company deserves 5+ stars! The product is amazing and smells great. Packaging was spot on with some cool extras - do yourself a favor and support them!

When you first roll this on, dont Smell it right away. Rub it in then allow it to sit. You can Smell all the notes of this. I would consider the Smell more cedarwood driven as if youre in a sauna and put water on the hot coals. Thats literally the cedar forward Smell. The patchouli is obvious and not a musky Smell. I wish it was more vanilla smelling, but overall its a nice Smell the longer its on. Don't get it if you dont like the smell of patchouli though. I do want to add that it does have a different Smell on different people. I will say, your body chemistry will make the Smell become different . It smells like a woody mossy forest on my husband compared to the way it smells on myself. Slightly reminds me of the original opium perfume without the strong musk smell.

I have purchased several other items from this seller's line and was excited to see the roll on products. These are a great alternative to spray cologne and this scent is out of this world. a small amount applied to your pulse points will be more than enough to enjoy, and I'm sure this will last a long time. The seller also includes fun packaging and usually a little surprise with the order - I'm always happy to support a small business with a great product AND a sense of humor, LOL. Highly recommended!

I have been bathing with a patchouli and black orchid bath wash that I like very much so I thought I’d give some patchouli oils a try and I ordered this. I gave it a good shake and applied it to my pulse points. Nope. No. Uh-uh. No way. I was immediately aware of a dank, musty (not musky) smell. Like I had gone down into a closed up basement. I read other reviews saying the smell improved over time. It did, very quickly, by going away. I dislike it so much that I have no plans to try another one. Don’t do it!
