Critterfence Steel Deer Fence Garden Fencing Dog Fence 6ft X 150ft Roll

I actually needed this for chickens. The fencing wasn't to keep predators out, just keep my chickens and ducks where I want them, versus all over our yard. After reading some reviews and becoming desperate to keep the birds at bay, I took a chance with the fencing.So, it's basically hex netting, but it's sturdier and nicer than the shiny poultry netting at the hardware stores. The holes are small. The wire is coated black, and it came in a big, heavy roll. Did I mention it was heavy? I was able to flip it around the yard myself, but it was work. The fencing I bought is 6' tall, so when I attached it to posts that weren't as tall, it did bend a little--not unexpected and not an issue. I simply added tall wooden stakes to my t-posts and zip-tied it all together. The fence does have some give, which worked out well since it was going on uneven ground and it was able to bend on the bottom in some places where the ground was bumpy and lumpy. It isn't super visible and it keeps many of my birds in. I want to be clear--the birds escaping is not a design issue of the fencing, it's user error! I have some hens who can easily flap 6 feet, and my ducks are finding some spot to crawl under that I haven't been able to find--yet.I was very pleased and I would buy again. I actually have another roll waiting to go up after I'm done planting to keep the rest of the birds contained.

We have installed this fencing solely around a blueberry patch so far, but anticipate it will be relatively easy to carry it around the posts of the "big garden." It disappears from view when installed, so passersby will say, "Look at that beautiful garden!" rather than "Look at that fence!" Purchasers should understand it is a type of coated chicken wire but 6 ft tall, so will flex if not handled carefully during installation.

If you are looking for privacy this fencing will not work for you - however it is great if you don’t want to see a fence on your property and enclose an area for dogs.

Though the roll is VERY heavy, the materials is pretty easy to work with if you have a little patience. My daughter and I have used to to surround our vege garden and so far so good. I will be using the rest of the roll for dog/ privacy fencing. I intend to grow ivy through the fence and expect it will look awesome.

The fence is the right type for chickens. It needs to be used on all sides and over the top. Raccoons and opposum can scale a fence. Keeps weas la and minks out.

Much more attractive than plain chickenwire.
