I have an '09 Monster which is still going strong, so i decided add a new cousin to the collection. My first impression of this PADI Monster was one of jewelry more than tool watch -- but actually the watch is both. The stunning blue bezel and nice bracelet really stand out, especially in outdoor light. Some things i like: the red minute hand for legibility, blue lume, cyclops, solid links, and "Made in Japan" on the dial. So far my accuracy is +3 seconds a day, which is great. I have a small wrist and it wears well. This watch is a "Special Edition" so it may be produced for only a year. Recommended.

The only problem is that it will stop if I don't wind it once a week, even though it is an automatic watch and I wear it 24 hours a day. Otherwise it is a fabulous watch, keeps great time and I get compliments on it all the time.

Beautiful watch and well made. The pins fastening the stainless steel band should be replaced, they come off very easy. Other than that I'm happy with this diver so far.

i got a collection of sportures and i wanted a diver and this is what i bought. and i an so glad i did ,you dont see one of this kind of watch every day. a PADI rated chronograph.it looks very good on my wrist,it has a nice feel and weight ,lighter than expected. some people say the band is a hair grabber but i have never had that problem with any seiko that i had warn in the last 30 years . So if you want a watch that subtle yet outstanding and best of all nice on your wrist this is it

Nothing really to complain about. You can’t ask for more at this price range. Some people complain about the magnifying candy bar on the day/date but being 49, I really appreciate it. The buckle can be improved a little but for the price I really have no complaints. Seiko toughness and reliability, great looking piece and excellent price. What’s not to like?

Great power reserve, given my modest watch collection I love this watch. I was afraid when I opened the box that the bracelet/body would feel chunky but it's very comfortable on my 6,1/4 inch wrist, (I wear below the bone). With my other Seikos the Lum is great and I don't mind this generations crystal with the magnifier, it fits with the notchy bezel of the monster. The screw crown was very hard to unscrew the first few times I used it hopefully should smooth out over time, all in all a solid sub 500 diver with a unique look.
