This is a wonderful hedger. I've always used an electric hedger, but manage to cut one of the extension cords nearly every time I use it, which means another $25-30 down the drain. I was able to cut two group of bushes with this battery operated hedger with power to spare. I was surprised how long the battery lasts. I could've trimmed more on this single charge, I'm sure. Its a great hedger for the price. I have other black and decker battery operated yard tools and they are equally wonderful. I like that you can leave the battery plugged in all the time so that its charged and ready to use when you need it. I would recommend this hedger. Its lightweight, easy to operate, and does a great job. I'm 70 and it works great for me!

Trimmer is just as expected & works very well. Delivered sooner than expected. Very satisfied.

I miss the heavy plastic blade cover that came with the prior one 8 years ago.

Arrived on time. Not the most powerful but accomplishes the small jobs of branches up to 1/2 inch for me. Battery life lasted up to 1 hour with intermittent use. Light weight made using easier for me with bad shoulders.

I have used a corded Black and Decker hedge trimmer with much success for many years, but it was time to move to a cordless unit. I selected this unit because it is one the lightest trimmers on the market. It does not have a heavy battery such as a 40v or 60v to weigh it down. In addition to the weight, the size of 18" was right for the bushes I need to trim / I did not need a 22 or 24 inch length / 18 works very well. The trimmer works great. After I purchased this trimmer, I added the B &D reciprocating saw, and the B &D cordless drill. All units are in the same family and use the same battery. Very pleased with this purchase and I highly recommend it.

Came assembled and started right up. Very easy to use for an older woman.

The handle could have a little bit of a grip to it. But it works fantastic! First day using it my hand slipped and I sliced my pinky :D Was right when I was cutting jagger bushes so I thought it was the bush at first. Then realized that hurt a lot more than the jagger bush. Took 3 stitches to sew back together XD But was a nice clean cut and the battery lasts a pretty long time. Only downside is that the charger it comes with doesn't charge quite as quickly as I'd like. Looking into getting a quicker charger. Also making sure to use work gloves while using. Remember folks, safety first XD You wanna keep those digits.

I have lots of boxwoods that need to be trimmed each year and having a light weight tools that is easy for my 5' 2" frame to manage all day is essential. I actually bought one for my daughter because she is even more petite than I, and it is hard to find light weight, battery operated tools. The battery slides in easily and removes by pressing the release button and sliding it back out. Having the battery vs the corded version gives greater flexibility, no tripping hazard, no chance of accidently cutting the cord and easier storage. I bought extra batteries so that I can trim all day.Tips: 1.) spray blades periodically with a motor oil lubricant, a garden supply store can suggest a proper brand. This keeps your machine in top working order. 2.) at the end of every season if you use the trimmer a lot, have the blades sharpened. 3.) keep a small spray bottle nearby filled with witch hazel and spray blades while trimming to prevent spreading fungus, bugs, bacteria, etc., to other parts of the plant or other plants. Bleach can eat away at the blades.

Used the trimmer to cut back small bushes along driveway. Works great and is light. Battery lasts long enough to do quite a lot of work.
