Why did you pick this product vs others?:Absolutely love these lights. I used 2 strands around my 24' Coleman Powersteel Pool. That way there is a gap where the stairs go in. I left these lights on all year long and have not had any issues. They stayed on all winter. Even though I couldn't swim, I still enjoyed seeing the lights during the winter. They have several light patterns, and are 100% self operating. They come on when the sun goes down and turn off by themselves. 100% will buy again. Idk if it's this issue for everyone, but some people keep claiming that they don't work, and the one I bought wouldnt turn on even by pressing the on button during the day, they literally would not turn on until dark, they work good though I like them

I ordered 2 of these strings of lights. One worked when I tested it and then installed it outside and checked it at night and it would not work anymore. I returned it and ordered a replacement that seems to be working. They are not vivid reds and greens and yellows and blues like it shows in the picture. More pastel. Pretty but disappointing that it was not as Christmassy as I expected.

I ordered two sets of these lights for use on my outdoor fencing. When I first installed them, they worked perfectly and lasted the entire summer. As I do with all my solar lights, I took them down for the winter and carefully repackaged them until this season. I made sure they were fully charged before installing them, but neither set worked. I even replaced the batteries but no luck. I have other lights that are more sturdy and have lasted me for years. These are not worth it. They are dainty and pretty, but you’ll be lucky if you get a second season out of them.

Lights great!! Project failed. Work well just not in the project I was doing. Lol. I found many other uses for them though!

The lights are nice and bright. I wrap them around the 7 trees in my yard and they illuminate well. Like most rope light it doesn’t take more than wind to change the mode so be prepared that if you set the mode for constant on lighting, the wind may blow and change the mode to that annoying Christmas blinking light mode.3 stars because…1. The knobs thst you turn to tighten the posts on the stick that holds the lights and goes into the ground does not tighten. As a result, it is difficult to get the lights to face up to the sun to recharge.2. I ordered 7 and two did not work. I guess the batteries were dead. I order two more and they worked but the part that goes into the ground was broken. I was too tired of goi g to Amazon to return so I kept it. Also, I had extra parts left over from another brand of lights so I was able to use my extra parts to stick it into the ground.Recommendation: Test the lights out to see if they work before installing. Just push the on button on the bs k snd hold your hand over the top of the light to simulate night. If the light doesn’t come on, the battery is dead. You can lay them in the yard facing up to the sun for one day to see if they charge, but most likely you’ll need to return.
