Helpful Reference Material and More
I just like how Joe Cannon writes.Simple, engaging and without an agenda.This book takes the reader beyond Joe's "Personal Fitness Training, Beyond The Basis" book. While It does contain material covered in that earlier book,I recommend owning both as this book expands and updates.If you are fitness industry professional and don't know who Joe Cannon is, these 2 books will let you know why he is respected and followed by so many.

Putting the "Personal" in Personal Training
After several years as a Certified Personal Trainer (taught by Joe Cannon), I now specialize in working with clients with disabilities and special needs and those of advanced age. I personally, having been blessed with good health and energy, don't have the good sense to look, act or feel my age; but not everyone is as fortunate. However, with the right tools and guidance, everyone can improve their quality of life. Joe's book helps me do just that. I only purchased this one recently and haven't read it in it's entirety yet, but I know that it will become another tool that will help me (a) do no harm and (b) make a big difference in the lives of many.

Joe Cannon is great!
I use this book 2 years ago when studying to become a master personal fitness trainer. All of the information and it was accessible and interesting to read. Now that I'm a personal trainer I will even share some details of the book with my clients which they find helpful and rewarding.
