Sweet Spreads Cashew Fit Snacks, Chocolate Doughnut, 16 Ounces

A friend of mine gave me a jar of this "butter" to taste after his health food store was sent a couple of jars of it by mistake. He and his wife had opened it and tried it themselves and couldn't believe what a horrible texture it had, saying it tasted like it had very fine sand in it! Well, as a long time user of Smuckers and other natural peanut butter, which you have to stir to re-blend the oil with the peanuts, I thought they might be exaggerating. Smuckers peanut butter (creamy) always has some little peanut pieces in it, but it's not at all sand-like. Oh my was I wrong! This Cashew butter REALLY tastes like it has sand in it, making it literally impossible to enjoy. The flavor is good, but as you chew, the gritty, nasty sound and feel of sand rattles through your head. This is NOT an exaggeration! I have no idea what the magic ingredient is that ruins what might otherwise be a tasty spread, but whoever let the spread out of the factory and into the market should be fired! Please, please, unless you plan to use this spread as a tooth polish, where the gritty substance may serve a purpose, don't waste your money. You have been warned.

Good flavor, not a spreadable consistency, which is weird. Could be just that my apt is really cold or something. But the flavor is good. The texture is smooth.
