Always:Very Best of Erasure Deluxe Book Package

I'm really bummed this set hasn't been released in the States yet and had to buy it via import from the UK. Being a huge Erasure fan I purchased the 3 disc edition and love it! Mute (which has been sold to another record company) milked the band to death with "Greatest Hits" compilations leaving some fans with a sour taste in their mouth. The truth is, Erasure (Vince and Andy) have nothing to do with a majority of the Erasure compilations (Andy and Vince had nothing to do with the "Oh Lamour! The Very Best of Erasure CD released in 2003 nor any of the other compilations other than POP! The first 40 hits respectfully. They have also gone on record dismissing "The Two Ring Circus" since it was another Mute cash cow) I get the sense that had some involvement with this set since the track listings (along with the standard "hits") are a bit distant from the mechanical Mute product. The remixes are refreshing and being a hardcore Erasure fan I don't recall some of the tracks on Disc 2 and 3 at all (I LOVE the mix to BREATHE on the second disc) which is really the reason why I went out of my way to buy this compilation. It's also quite inexpensive if purchased from the right retailer (mine cost b/w 15 - 17 American dollars with free shipping NEW from an Amazon Seller) and not directly as an import from amazon. I would suspect that the tracks have been remastered? It's obvious the track SOMETIMES was and it sound stunning! Frankly, the set sounds remarkable. I highly recommend the 3 disc set as opposed to the single disc release especially if you're a die hard Erasure fan OR if you're a young fella' or lady who are learning about great pop music. I sincerely hope they remaster all their records and release them in the states not only as crappy downloads but physical media.

Wow, one of the best 1980's music CD's you will have in your collection. The first CD is basically all the originals where the other two are remakes of the originals with enhanced Moog Synthesizer additions. I love it!

As a HUGE Erasure fan for *30 odd years (*Wow - showing my age now! lol) I was very excited about this 4th Best of / Hits album. I have all 4 and have to be extremely honest this is not my favourite, it's probably my least. I'd say to the Non die hard fans wanting a good collection buy the POP 40.The 1st cd is very good however missing some massive quality tracks, The 2nd & 3rd Cd's on the "special edition" are ok but nothing to write home about if your like me you have "every 12" or remix cd" that has ever been released.Saying that, Enjoy Vince and Andy's amazing talent in all it's 80's electronic brilliance. . . LONG LIVE ERASURE!!!!

great to hear the songs i loved in my youth in the 80s, to some more recent ones aswell. andy bell still has a strong soulful voice and it's hard to beat vince clark's wizardry on the keyboards.

another great nostalgic trip back to the 80s here huge fan of erasure and all the hits are here and remastered for superb audio quality a must have for any erasure fans like myself.

Always loved Erasure and went to see them in concert all the way back in the 80's. Love this CD and despite not listening to them for a good few years, once I put this on it was as though we had never been apart - and I even remembered the words to many of the old tracks! Erasure were always known for their upbeat songs and this will definitely get you in the mood for singing on a long car journey!
