must buy upgrade, because this transmitter has tons! of range distance comparing to the original TQ transmitter, I'm happy with the TQi transmitterlooked up couple videos on how to, sync reciver to transmitter, switch channels to your vehicle model#, and reverse the steeringworks just fine I like it
