Make sure your compressor is big enough
Adjusting to 4 stars - 1 star for not providing compressor requirements. It didn't work for me, but giving this product a low rating wouldn't be fair since its obviously a quality tool with the right set up. I'm keeping this review here in case anyone wants to try this with their 25 gal or less compressor and a cheap air hammer. Based on my experience I'd advise against it.. YEMVFor those without a commercial quality setup in their garage, I recommend the OTC 7248 C Frame Press U-Joint, Brake Anchor Pin and Ball Joint Removing/Installing tool. Just don't forget the adapters specific to your auto.

Not for seized ball joints.
Appears to be a well made product. Will fit multiple sizes and sides of the ball joint. However it doesn't seem to generate quiet enough force for very stubborn ball joints. I was using an Ingersoll Rand Air Hammer 114GQC. This is the same hammer they picture in the demonstration photos at SP Tools. At maximum force and tons of penetrating oil the ball joint will not budge on the Prelude knuckle I was using it on. I will attempt a shop press on this knuckle next.

Faster Than Ball Joint Clamp Remover/Installer
I had to replace my ball joints in my 2001 Integra GS. I work at a Honda dealership and we have tools to get pressed lower ball joints out. Traditional clamp style. This tool is worth every penny! As long as you have a air hammer(Used a technicians Matco) and a tank that can put out enough psi. Get's the job done a lot quicker! Beat the flat rate(wrench time) labor by a lot! The longest part was actually getting the lower ball joint to pop out from the lower arm. We have a tool for that as well. A lot better than hammering away for it to pop out.If you're a technician and want something to get the job done faster so you can move on to the next job. Get this product.Would like to note if you Youtube search the part number and find the video demo. It's really that easy but not that accurate. You will get grease everywhere and your tool will get coated with it as well. That's the reality of it. It's actually a lot messier than what those videos show. Have eye pro too. Grease can shoot out and fling everywhere.Pros- It does a great job at removing and installing pressed ball joints.Cons- If you don't have an air compressor and air hammer. Won't be very useful for a backyard or in the driveway technician.

on vid works so sweet but when you try it in real life not as easy. Used it on a 8 year old car from Cali. Used my good Matco gun turned up all the way running 120 to gun.. Did not even move.

Works extremely well! HF .401 air hammer and 60 gallon air compressor = Job done in under 3 minutes!
I used this on my 99 Civic Ex, It works extremely well removing the lower ball joint (roughly 5-7 seconds of impacting) and took me a total of 2 minutes of impacting the ball joint in; that accounts for re-adjusting the tool when it slips off a tad bit or moving the LBJ around. I used a Central Pneumatic (92037) air hammer with Milton Type V high flow fittings. I have a 60 gallon 5-hp Quincy air compressor in my garage. So, for the people who can not get their ball joints in, I blame their tank capacity and air fittings (restrictive air flow = less hammering action!). It goes to show the right set-up even with a cheap-o .401 air impact hammer can do the job right!

The removal tool worked fine, but the installer worked only partially
The removal tool worked fine, but the installer worked only partially. The air hammer cannot push the ball joint all the way in, a regular hammer is needed to finish the installation...
