A man and his dog in the apocalypse....
This review is for the e-book series and not just one stand-alone book. The overall plot, characters, scenes and chronological events are done very well by the author; however, I wish the books were longer than just 200 pages per book. Each book in the series could have been 300 pages per book and completed in eight books.I truly enjoy this author’s style of writing when it comes to “The Survivalist” series. The author does an excellent at developing his characters both main and side characters. The characters will be appropriately develop for the reader to either root for their success or prey for their slow but painful death. Side characters have a way of slipping into the story either as filler or later on becoming a main character and the reader is always left guessing. The story plots are always suspenseful and usually have at least a few twists and turns to keep us guessing what’s going to happen next. The author attempts to link the reader to the father and son, although on two different paths, their successes and tragedies within their own journeys and he does a really great job at creating an emotional link with certain characters. If you skip a book or two in the series you will be a little confused and asking questions; therefore, I suggest you read the series in order.

Excellent, entertaining and easy reading. I've read all 7 books!
OK... I just finished reading Book 7. That means I read books 1 thru 6 and I ordered book 7. That should tell you something!! I love these books! The reading is very entertaining, I tend to read them quickly because I don't want to put them down. For those of you that have been reading the earlier books, you'll be happy to know that this puts an ending to the story line. But he does leave an opening for more stories to spin off from this series. I had read a few books by other authors before getting back into this Book 7. Immediately I realized how GOOD Dr. Bradley's writing is! The banter between Tanner and young Sam was fun to read. The dog Bowie is too good, I wish my dog could be half that much of a dog! And Mason's shooting with his Supergrade rivals that of the Justified character, Marshal Raylan Givens. Hmm, they're both US Marshals...OK, I'm rambling; I'm no writer. LOL, I'm a rambler!! If you like good writing that flows easy, characters you'll come to care about, villains that get what they deserve, survival situations, end-of-civilization stuff and more good writing (worth saying twice), you'll like this set of books. After buying all 7 (I got roped in on a $1.99 first book. Or was it 99 cents?) I'm glad I read them all. And I'll read the spin off books that follow. After all of this praise from my review, I do have one complaint. The books go to fast! I tend to read them in just a few days, and that's if I force myself to put it down. Maybe I'll start from book one and read it all again. As much as I like to think I'll remember it all, I'm sure I'll read things that will surprise me again.Hope you like these books, I don't think you'll be disappointed. FYI: I read Book 1 beginning on Sept 5th, just finished Book 7 on Feb. 17th. And that's because I had to wait for it...

Brilliant
What a great ending to this particular journey, I can't wait for the start of the next one.Book seven continued in the exact great style of the previous books in this adventure, loosing none of the action or adventure we have come to enjoy in Tanner, Samantha, Mason and Bowie's mission to right the wrongs of President Pike.

Cleverly woven
With storyline resolving to a point and surprises lurking this is a great book in the series, but definitely to be read after the previous book rather than as a stand alone to get full enjoyment out of it.

Excellent
Brilliant post-apocalyptic story, with not too much emphasis on the zombie side of things. I hate zombies. Can't wait for the next chapter in this on-going story.
