SNO Rake - Model #117 - 18" Rake/47 Telescoping Aluminum Handle w/Ice Scraper (Made in USA!)

I saw this at my car dealership and had to get one! However, the one I got either was not made well or something, because the place where the pole screws into the rake part didn't screw in all the way and was sort of weak. I wish it was a more secure fitting because I fear it will come apart when using it on a heavy snow, and I just hate when a tool comes apart when I am using it and I have to stop and try to fix it. Especially if it is a snow tool, so I am out in cold and possibly unpleasant weather. The screw in hole (with the threads) should be deeper and the attachment stronger; there is plenty of room for this. Also I didn't need the scraper, and a better grabbing surface on the handle would be nice (some sort of rubber wrapped around the part you hold?) to enable you to hold more securely instead of slipping....Otherwise, the soft rake part and long handle were just what I needed. I couldn't reach across the top of my car with what I had. I also used to clear the snow off my ground-mounted solar panels.

Definitely the way to go when cleaning snow off the car in Mn. I was a little worried about the telescoping handle, this normally produces a weak spot in shaft but even after pounding the frozen ice from the hood, it still keeps on doing the job for me. I don't encourage pounding with it but when it's colder then #@*# outside you must get-er-done quickly. The piggy back scrapper is nice to have included but not something you'd want to leave on the handle when using, it's very sharp and gets in the way. We throw it in the car so we have it with. I'd of given them SIX stars but they're product makes you go out in the cold. Thanks Shuttsco

It works! The "hoe" doesn't scratch and yet it cleans off the heaviest, wettest snows. It will even break through ice-crusted snow. The long adjustable handle permits reaching the roofs of the vehicles easily. The scraper's long handle is great for reaching those huge windshields. The original one I have was recommended and sold to me by my new car dealer 4 years and I'm still using it. I bought 4 of them as Christmas gifts for my family who live in snow country in the North.

Works good but not great. Upstate NY snow. The handle unscrewed when attempting to use. Other than that works as advertised.

This was a gift & recipient loved it after a record-breaking snowstorm of over 30" in our area. I got one years ago & continue to use it. Highly recommend this product!!!
