This game is a lot of fun and is a nice change up from the usual Washers/Cornhole. What's really good about this game is that you can get more than just 2 or 4 people playing at one time - our gatherings have a ton of people so it's nice to have a game that more people can participate in. There's 6 batons for a team to play per turn so I would keep it to 2, 3 or 6 people per team so the batons are even amongst the players on one team. Not recommended for kids younger than teen age as you do need to be able to accurately under-hand toss the batons across 10 yards or so.This set in particular - I liked the reviews and the price seemed fair for what I was getting. It is nice to have some flexibility with the wood pieces to be able to stain or paint how we want, if we want to in the future. There are limited instructions on the box and no paper instructions inside so definitely watch youtube videos on how to play - it seems a little complicated at first, but everybody gets the hang of it after one turn.

This was introduced to me when I saw a couple I know get it as a wedding gift, then it popped up when I was looking at something else on Amazon. So I got it right away.Seems like it would be a fun DIY project now that I really look back on my purchase..Don't get me wrong though, I love it and I introduced it to some of my family members at a birthday party the weekend I got it. They loved it too.The only downside I would say is that it is made of pine wood. One of my stakes already split, which isn't a huge deal, but it happened.I think if it was oak or something else that would make it better but pricier too. Also you might not get the same bounces with different wood.Another thing is that the femurs, throwing sticks, dowels.. Are different weights. not an issue, just something to be prepared for. I think it makes the game a little better.I'm really happy that this purchase has introduced me to this game and my family and friends as well.

This game is so FUN! I played this game when visiting my parents a few weekends ago and its perfect for 2-12 players! The best part is the teams don't have to be even to play. We listened to Viking music while playing in our grass back yard, and my parents who grew up playing horseshoes, so they were experts.Let's talk about this version at an incredible price, after playing for 3-4 hours on grass, there are a few dings on the dowels (femur), but not enough to make me regret buying tis version. Maybe playing on concrete or stones might lead to a few more bumps and bruises, but unless you're playing this game in a professional league every day, I'd say this is the perfect version and game! I would definitely recommend anyone on the fence to buy this one.

Just arrived today! I will say that the quality is much lower that I was expecting, but overall still alright. Some of the wood has glue stuck all over it, which will wear off. Many pieces have chips/dents, which of course will happen over time... I just wasn't expected it to arrive already beat up. Some of the wood is also cracked, but luckily it's just the side markers and nothing major. I'm hoping this set will hold up during use, but we will see. I will update this review at a later date.

Great game! My friends love it and request I bring it tailgating. Nothing fancy to the wood pieces, but they are sanded smooth and cut to the correct sizes.It would be nice if the game included strings pre-cut to measure out the court.Minus 1 star for the piece of crap mesh carrying bag that lasted almost long enough to stuff the pieces in before it burst at the seams.

I just orderd this a week ago since then I have had it in the your 4 or 5 times. I never have played the game got this kit because it was cheap compared to others. Its all made of pine. Which makes it all very lightweight. The carrying sack isn't really durable. All an all for some one that's interested in trying this game out this would be your idea purchase to make sure it's something your going to use a lot before buying a set made of a harder and more solid wood. If you just getting it out to play with family and friends for family events. You won't go wrong getting this.

Are u kidding me?!! Prob one of the coolest games I ever went on a limb to buy!!! Huge hit & will always be a part of our get togethers!!! I recommend youtubing the rules "Justin Ross" is the best video. After a few plays the wood of course gets chipped (we play on concrete) I found that it would be awesome to duct tape the pieces in any design u like! (Trying to preserve the wood) Who knew duct tape was decorative?!! Lol! Great game!!! Viking chess! Skulls & femurs!! Buy it! The set is a pretty decent quality. I was going to just build one of these sets myself but I was able to pick this set up for about what the materials would’ve cost me at the local hardware store anyway. It didn’t come with the mesh bag it says it does, but I’ve messaged the seller to see if they’ll remedy it. Other than that, I’m pleased.
