After cleaning the straw and filter simply re-assemble and enjoy! Made entirely of 304 stainless steel and should give you a life time of clean drinking! Having enjoyed drinking mate and tea for years I had always been frustrated about how quickly the reusable straws would become dirty and extremely difficult to clean. Nice, functional design but why so long?
This is a very utilitarian bombilla. No embellishments; it's all about the function. The straight tube and removable spoon head make it easy to clean, and the filter holes give a good flow without getting clogged up. Nice. But why is it so long? It's almost twice as long as a regular bombilla. Sipping out of it, you really have to work against gravity to suck such a massive fluid column up to your mouth. I've gotten used to it and don't notice anymore, but I'll probably use a dremel to cut it shorter.

Bombillas that don't clog!
It's hard to find quality bombillas that don't get clogged or that cost $30 a piece. I am beyond satisfied with these bombillas and love that i have 2. I've been using them for a while now and they haven't clogged yet. I love how long they are bc i can use them in huge jars full of mate, and the simple design is genius and very easy to clean. Also the minimal packaging from this environmentally friendly company is a plus.

Steelution Bombilla filter straw is everything it claims to be. The steel is sturdy and easy to use. Ease of assemble and disassemble, and with the brush that is supplied makes cleaning easy. It works.

Just what I needed. Great if used correctly.
Same as what other reviews said. Plenty of bits come through especially where the spoon attaches to the straw. I don't fault them for it though. Best times I've drank the brew, I got bits. I'' not sure how these straws could be made any better for this great a price. Also if people don't want so many bits than try not moving the straw around so much.

Kudos to the man who makes these.
I love these. They are long enough to put into my tall 16 ounce stainless steal coffee cup. I squeezed the tip down so that I can fit it through the cup lid. I appreciate the extra care the maker takes to make these easy to clean and including the handy brush with the purchase. Excellent and so thoughtful.
