My Lucky Pets Slow Feed Dog Bowl - FDA Approved Bloat Remedy Will Guarantee Slower Feeding time - Great for Cats (Green, Small)

I was hoping this would be the answer to my problems with my cat, who eats too quickly and then throws up... unfortunately, it's only half worked. I know there are a number of sellers offering this same design in different materials, and I ordered this one in particular because I love silicone for its various properties and easy cleaning. There are a number of good things about this bowl... it's easy to clean, it works for wet or dry food, it'll kind of suction to the floor if you're using it on a smooth surface like tile. And it did indeed slow my cat's eating down.There are just as many down sides for me, though. If you have an animal that chews, you'll have to really closely monitor their use of this bowl... it's extremely thin and would have been destroyed in a matter of moments by some of my former foster dogs, for sure. :D Your pet might also drag food out the low sides of the bowl and onto the floor; you might want to use a silicone feeding mat or something underneath it. What's ended up making it pretty useless for me is that my cat seems to suffer from whisker stress... I have to use wide, shallow bowls for stuff like her water just to make sure she keeps drinking. She hates to have anything touch her whiskers while she's eating or drinking. I was hoping she wouldn't have an issue with the soft silicone material of this slow feeder but I was clearly mistaken. She'll eat from it, and it does slow her down, but she'll also give up on her food halfway through a meal. Since I feed in very small increments (like a spoonful at a time) to keep her from eating too much and throwing up, that means she's actually eating extremely little food from this bowl. Even when there's still food in it, she'll follow me around crying to be fed, which is really uncharacteristic for her when there's already food out... she just hates that much to try to eat from this bowl. So sadly I'll have to give up on it.

I got this for our puppy who chugs down his food. The slow feeder bowl did slow him down when he ate which was great. It moved around as if it was grass in the wild and he was searching for food. It was easy to hand clean as well. I'm not sure how long this product would last though.I DO NOT suggest this for puppies. I would get a hard slow feeder rather than this silicone slow feeder for puppies. Because my puppy has sharp razor teeth, I'm not sure if this item holds up well or not. But it does NOT hold up for puppies. The company was very generous and quick to respond to my email. They even gave me a full refund before I had even asked for one. I probably would give this item another try with a dog rather than a pup.

After adopting a new kitten, my former youngest became the middle child. Jealousy was high and he would eat his food too quickly. Then throw up because of it. Oddly, my oldest of the 3--and the chubbiest--loves this. Lily takes her time eating and doesn't eat everything st once because of it. The kitten even likes it. The middle baby? Not so much, but he's slowed down and gotten used to the new baby.I like that it's so soft. The cats can easily get between the nubs. It's easier to clean than one that's hard plastic, too. Despite the lip around the edge, I often find a little mess on the floor--but that's normal for my babes and easily fixed with a little placemat.

I have a fat pug with a short stubby snout. I bought 2 other bowls trying to find something that would slow her down. The other 2 were really deep, even at the smallest sizes. It was like torturing her.This is a smooth flat surface and the puzzle parts are flexible. It slows her down without frustrating her and I've noticed she's way less gassy.I mix wet and dry with fish oils and this thing was so easy to clean, I wish I would have bought it sooner.

We have a chihuahua who was inhaling his food in about 30 seconds and nothing we did was slowing him down. This food dish has made him slow down and take more time to eat, he still eats very quickly but this has increased the amount of time that it takes for him to eat. The dish is great quality and better than anything I have found in any pet store. We have been looking for something like this for a long time and never found anything that was small enough for our dog. Great product.

Originally I thought I disliked this product I even sent the seller a disappointed email. It's been a few months since we purchased it and I am so pleased with it! We have an almost 6 month old French bulldog that used to be a speed eater when we got him. This feeder has helped slow him down sooooo much. He used to be incredibly messy on it but over time he has learned to keep it all on the feeder. He eats 2 out of his 3 meals on this every single day. It is such a great product and I love that it's not a hard plastic like the ones at our local pet store- it is a soft silicone material.

I really like this bowl, I looked around quite a bit and the reason I selected this is because of the soft materials the mat is made out of. I didn't want my dog to do any teeth damage as an aggressive eater that is possible, but not with this bowl/mat. I am considering purchasing a second one for my other dog that doesn't require it, however it wouldn't hurt to slow him down as well.

This feeder has made our dogs life safer and we are happy. Our 12 yr old dog has been blind for 8 years. Recently the manufacturer of the dry dog food he must eat changed the size to 3/4 smaller then the original. This change made it easy for him to inhale the food instead of chewing and he woukd start to choke because he was eating too fast. This slow feeder has worked like magic. He has to eat slower. Since my dog is blind and figured out how to use this feeder with about a two minute learning curve I believe any sighted dog should be able to do it in about the same time.

Flimsy and dangerous, this feeder initially seemed to be accepted by my little King Charles Cavalier. However, she seemed to get frustrated with it, and she has chewed the tops of many of the lumps...and almost choked on one of them. Then I noticed green bits of the feeder in her poo! It's not a robust item, flexible and soft enough to be chewed into bits! I would like a refund please.

Got this for my cat, who gobbles everything so fast. Had a few other bowls before this one and it is safe and easy for her, the silicone allows for some flexibility when she eats, not hurting her mouth and teeth. I'm going to order a couple more. For my cat, I ordered the small one and the size is fine for a cat.

Our cat is a super quick eater if left to his own methods (to the point that he makes himself sick) so finding this was great. It makes him slow down and work for his kibbles.

One cat won't eat from it but the one we got it for uses it and it really slowed him down.

Slowed our cat down from eating too fast! Only issue is that she cannot reach any of the food in the centre of the mat and ends up pushing it across the floor. Overall very satisfied.
