No taste like truffle at all
These truffles are not worth the price. They are in good condition and look nice, but taste terrible. There is literally no truffle taste at all, and they are totally bland. There is also no scent or smell of truffle to them whatsoever. Worst truffle I have ever had. May as well be eating cardboard.

Not comparable to truffle salt
Looking at reviews all I can say is truffles do not taste like truffle salt. They do not have a strong diesel gas smell. They have a very Subtle flavor. They do not overpower a dish. They add just a little complexity and a hint of flavor. I personally love truffle seasoning(the artificial stuff) but really enjoyed these. Expensive truffles are usually better but for the price this is a good product but you may not like real truffle flavor or lack there of.

Do not disappoint.
I bought these for the first time after watching them on the Cooking Channel 4 years and they really are incredible. The flavor is very mild but the texture is excellent and I recommend using them as a garnish on a rich creamy mushroom soup. Enjoy.

Added flavor???
Our son is a chef..... We are pretty fortunate. We were discussing a truffle dish earlier in the week. It sounded wonderful so I said.....let me grab a truffle. He was specific with me- jarred from Italy. I found this product and ordered it for Sunday night dinner.As he finished the pasta dish tonight, he said "It's strange, I barely taste truffle and I used and entire one"He was correct, though the dish over all was good. The distinctive flavor of truffle was barely there. After dinner my husband commented.....the jar said "added flavor". I only wish that had been the case. ...

Very mild taste.
Product came to me within one day which is amazing. I love truffles and was slightly disappointed that these were so mild in flavor. I’ll definitely order again and see if the pungency is different with the new batch.

LOOKS like a truffle, feels like a truffle, smells like styrofoam.
No truffle flavor or smell. Zero. Zilch. The only thing it offered a top my Tournedos Rossini was the visual appeal of a sliced truffle, but nothing more. Luckily, I had some Sabatini Truffle Zest. So essentially, I had to flavor the truffle with truffle.
