Of all the Robert Ludlum novels, this is one (and that's a good thing)
Ludlum is the master of the faceless conspiracy. This book follows that pattern with at least three groups (the Scorpions are, of course, one) more or less aligned (except when they're not). There's one infuriating coincidence that I had a hard time getting past (and the plot largely depends on it), but that's my one negative comment. This book is every bit as good as the Bourne novels.

Great start but gets bogged down with cliched characters-only 1/3 done so i will update.
Initial review since I'm only 1/3 of the way. Started off great with a female terrorist who is seeking revenge for the death of her husbank. Unfortunately the story is currently in the antagonist "who knows everyone's every move all the time" mode which gets a little old after a while. Also the story is bogged down right now with a former Navy intelligence officer arguing/consoling a young but tough female officer and her tech/mech lieutenant who is (of course) the best in the world. I'm hopeful the story will get back on track.

Not as good as some of his others
I have been a Robert Ludlum fan for many years. This book was not like his others. Many more descriptive paragraphs about the environment and less meat. It was difficult for me to finish especially since I knew exactly how it would end. Mr. Ludlum's stories are not usually so easy to figure out.

Good bad guy
Four stars because nothing is perfect, but this is close. It hits all of the right buttons. Good people trying to see the right thing done. Real life. I'm certainly going to read more of Robert Ludlum !

Review of the Scorpio Illusion...
This is the first Robert Ludlum book I've read in a long time. I only gave it a four star rating because it was a confusing plot to follow. Typical Ludlum style take you all over the globe but with way too many characters to keep track of.

What next?
Liked the characters, but too many unimportant for the story. End of story was a little less than what I’ve become accustomed to with Ludlum novel

Heads of State, assassinations, infiltration of governments at all levels
Just the kind of intrigue that will keep you turning pages. This story weaves several characters together into an exciting suspense filled story. Excellent read

Robert Ludlum again
Typical Ludlam, rather a lot of characters with names difficult to remember. Otherwise a good book. Written in English presumeably for an English speaking market, so why include so many foreign names and sayings?

Robert Ludlum: The Scorpio Illusion
Purchased for my brother who has a liking for fictional history and modern day thrillers. Enjoyed this book and would not hesitate in recommending it to others of a similar persuasion.

Excellent read.
Another Robert Ludlum gripper! Once started very difficult to put down. A convoluted story line with unexpected diversions all adding towards a really good read.
