Health From The Sun Evening Primrose Oil 1300 Mg, 60-Count (Pack of 2)

I like this brand because it's fairly inexpensive and I only need one capsule a day because it has 130mg of GLA per capsule. The capsules are a little on the big side but are shaped right so I don't have any problem swallowing them and I'm definately one for getting pills stuck in my throat. I've been using various brands of Primrose Oil for about 25 years and it used to be so expensive! I started taking it for PMS when I was twenty five and just never stopped because it did the trick for me. I've never really had PMS since, and am having a very easy time with pre-menopuase, in fact I'm still having regular periods, my sex drive is good, and my hormone levels are all better than the average woman my age. I am fit with a healty BMI, which helps, too. I use this brrand because it it the least expensive.

I tried this because I heard it was good for hot flashes and improving acne and the skin. I broke out in huge cystic pimples on the chin (the kind that are like painful big, hard knots) within days of starting this. I never had acne like that before in my life. It seemed to be working for my mild hot flashes, but I stopped taking it to see if that was what was truly causing the pimples. Gave it a break for about a month - that is how long it took for those things to go away!! - and started taking the capsules again. Within two days, back to the gigantic zits. Immediately tossed the rest of the bottle.
