This little bag is amazing. Sturdy canvas and zippers, lots of pockets, main compartment is roomy. I love that it can be used as a backpack or sling bag for front or back carry. Nice daily carry bag.

The bag is GORGEOUS in every way possible. It is of superior quality - it feels good to wear, the canvas fabric is sturdy (one would be hard pressed to wear it out), the zippers are heavy duty and zip and unzip smoothly, the hardware is metal and heavy duty, the zipper pulls are real leather as claimed as opposed to fabric made to look like leather (a rarity these days), the color I selected was even more beautiful in person, & the aesthetics are outstanding. I should note that the very front pocket (the small one on the front) is not usable for me because the opening, when unzipped, is barely big enough for me to get my hand inside. I can only get my hand in at just the right angle while using more force than I prefer applying to access a pocket in a bag. However, the other pockets and the main compartment are easy to access and organizationally well thought out. The back pocket against the body is, surprisingly, delightfully large (it reaches the full width and height of the back of the bag, as opposed to the small semicircle size the decorative trim and stitching implies) and is a very nice security feature. In addition, the details of the bag are really well thought out. For example, the waterbottle pocket has the option to snap shut when empty, however, actually snapping it shut would have been really difficult if the snap back was on the canvas of the main bag, so they added webbing and put the snap back on the webbing, which allows you to put your thumb behind the snap back, making snapping the pocket shut a breeze. Given all this, you can imagine how sad I am that the overall size of the bag was to small for my purpose. =( I'm returning it. But, if you are looking for a bag of this capacity, it will be hard to beat this one!

Update: I posted my original review right after purchasing this bag in 2019. I came back today to purchase another one, not because the original bag has fallen apart but simply because I’d like it in an additional color. After more than two years, my bag still looks brand new. I’m really hard on bags, so that’s saying a lot. This is my “everything” bag; it comes with me to work, to parties, to concerts, on overseas trips, and into the woods. I’ve stuffed it to the brim with stuff, carried heavy containers of water inside it, tossed it carelessly on the ground wherever I wanted, and dropped it in rivers. Its versatile straps are amazing: zip together for everyday, zip apart for hiking. I can even unhook them and tie them around my waist. In restaurants, I detach a strap, loop it around my chair, and reattach (for security). Even with the abuse I’ve heaped on the bag, it’s in perfect condition (other than losing the pull tab on the rear pocket, which doesn’t matter because the zipper still works fine). I’m astonished by the bad reviews and hope the quality of my new bag will be the same as the old because this is hands-down my favorite bag! Original: I bought this bag as a replacement for my much-loved, but worn out, Ameribag. I prefer a canvas bag, and Ameribag no longer offers them. This bag is just a bit larger than the Ameribag and has a wider strap. I like the size because it can accommodate a good-sized notebook. The bag appears to be sturdy and has nice big zippers. My only gripe is that there's no key clip inside, but I found a loop inside an outside pocket that could serve that purpose if I hook a carabiner to it. I ordered the bag in olive, but it looked almost tan on my computer screen. I'm happy to report that it's a true olive color. A very pretty bag!

If you are looking for something "different" from a typical backpack style bag, this is it. The canvas and hardware are heavy duty. It should last a while. The color was actually a nice soft rosy red. For a SMALL backpack, it can store a lot . Just not school books, etc. I ended up returning for a few reasons: -- too heavy for me for everyday use. Its as heavy as my leather messenger bag purse -- No place to put your expensive car key. It can only be loose either inside one of the 3 big zippered pockets, or put in the very small front/outside zippered pocket ( which is too exposed for me and chance of zipper opening and losing key). If they added a securely sewn in loop to attach key fob too , or an internal small zippered pocket, that would be better. -- yes, has a chemical smell. I am very sensitive to smells. Although not overpowering, it was annoying for me. -- no way could this be used by a woman as a sling style unless you are completely flat or super tiny. Has to be over the shoulder or as a backpack. I can see this working well for a man who just wants a smallish , stylish "rugged" looking bag. Looks outdoorsy, yet stylish.

Habe den Rucksack vor dem diesjährigen Sommerurlaub angeschafft - Ziel war es, darin Sonnenbrille, Handy bzw. Handyhülle, Gimbal und Zubehör (Mikrofon, Halterung, Handy-Halterung des Gimbals), Kopfhöhrer, Powerbank, Portemonnaie und Kleinkram unterzubekommen. Positives: - Der Sling Bag sieht sehr wertig aus, die blau/schwarze (Jeans?-) Stofffarbe gefällt mir sehr. Die Reißverschluss-Zieher und auch die Ringe und Karabiner der Gurte sind aus Metall, was wesentlich hochwertiger aussieht, als die Plastikvarianten an einem zuvor gekauften, günstigeren Modell eines anderen Herstellers - Der Sling Bag ist geräumig, Die Fächer sind sinnvoll aufgeteilt, und durch die Reißverschlussanordnung sehr gut zu Öffnen und Schließen, wenn man ihn sich „mal eben“ nach vorne dreht, weil man etwas herausholen möchte - Trotz allem empfinde ich die Größe insgesamt als nicht zu sperrig, gerade durch die Tropfenform trägt er nicht auf. Dank des Sling Bag Prinzips kann man ihn auch bequem mal vor dem Bauch oder an der Seite tragen, ohne dass er stört (z.B. beim Hinsetzen im Bus oder wie im Urlaub auf dem Ausflugsschiff oder einer Parkbank ;-)) - Der Tragegurt bzw. die Tragegurte sind lang genug. Ich bin nicht klein (1,83m) und auch nicht schmal, da stießen Modelle anderer Hersteller an ihre Grenzen. Bei diesem Sling Bag ist die Länge ausreichend für einen bequemen Sitz, und es ist noch etwas Luft, falls man im Winter mal eine dickere Jacke trägt. Sehr schön! Neutral: - Der Sling Bag kann auch als Rucksack genutzt werden, dazu muss man am oberen Teil des Gurtes einen Reißverschluss zum Sling Bag hin öffnen und einen der beiden Gurtteile an der zweiten Gurtöse befestigen. Ich brauche das nicht, da ich ihn bewusst als Sling Bag trage, aber für einige Leute ist das bestimmt ein Vorteil Neutral bis Negativ: - Leider ist kein gepolstertes Rückenteil vorhanden, das dem Sling Bag mehr Stabilität gibt. Modelle anderer Hersteller haben dies durchaus, das erhöhte in jedem Fall den Tragekomfort Am Rücken. So ist es halt wirklich eher eine Tasche, die dann auch mit Inhalt nach dem Abnehmen eher etwas in sich zusammensinkt. Allerdings muss ich auch dazu sagen, dass ich trotz allem keine Probleme beim Tragen hatte, und während des 2-wöchigen Urlaubs wurde der Sling Bag fast jeden Tag mehrere Stunden getragen. Daher ziehe ich keine Sterne ab Ich behalte den Sling Bag, er erfüllt genau meine Anforderungen. Vielleicht hilft die Rezension ja bei der Entscheidungsfindung - ich habe bestimmt 3 Monate und mehrere Fehlbestellungen bzw. Fehlkäufe im Geschäft gebraucht, bis zum „richtigen“ Modell für mich: Dem hier bewerteten Modell :-)

Your bag replaced a mini jeep backpack which I've used as my handbag for about two decades. I loved that jeep but it eventually gave up the ghost and developed holes in the bottom - and unfortunately is long since out of production. I couldn't find something similar to replace it. I opted to give your bag a go as it looked like it would be quite versatile, and although the size of the main pocket is slightly differently shaped, I've found that your bag is working well for me. I wear it hanging from one shoulder rather than cross the chest so I have placed both strap hooks on to the same ring. I am a fairly large chested woman on a small frame, so I don't generally wear things cross chest - however, I did do so once (thus far) and I am pleased that this bag is so adaptable as it gives me options when needed. The only problem I have had with the bag is minor, and I'm still considering options to remedy it. I've shortened those straps as much as possible for the proper length / fit and I find that because of that I continually have to move the stays holding the straps in place back up because gravity and general bag movement means they work their way downward as I move (thus extending the straps too long). This is not something that would have precluded my purchase. The bag seems well made and I hope it lasts me half as long as my last one did. I will give it another month or two of day to day use but if it holds up then I will probably purchase a few more in various colours. Your order arrived promptly and in good condition. I can do not see anything in your process that needs improvement or that you could change.
