One small problem with this otherwise pretty nice little kit - the needles that come with it in a circular plastic disk container which is supposed to twist open-(and easily) doesn't twist open easily- or in fact open at all- so you have to break the cover off to GET it open, and then - after all that - the so-called needles don't have any threading holes in the top where one is supposed to be and they are also not self-threading types. They all are this way - all defective- What good is a sewing kit when you can't use the needles to sew with? They don't even make good pins. --The rest of the kit is decent though, so I am keeping it- and just using needles I had from Singer which have lasted me for the past 35 years from my military sewing repair kit.

I don't understand what people think or see when they say high quality products. I was very disappointed. The sewing kits at other stores have better quality thread and sewing products than this one does. Also, the case itself is a cheap plastic and makes me wonder how long that's going to last.This kit is not worth $12.95. It's worth more like $3.95, if that or less.

I was delighted when I saw the variety of times included. Within a few days, however, the little scissors were broken and I discovered that much of the thread was unusable for one reason or another. But the needles are of good quality and the other standard items were fine. So, I'm keeping it but cannot give it five stars honestly.

I needed a small, but effective needle and thread kit once in a while... listen, you get what you pay for... and this is cheap. But it works in a pinch and that's why I bought it. Not quality tools... but like a said, in a pinch it all works.

I love this compact sewing kit! It has everything I need, even more than I had in my regular full sized sewing box. I love that it comes with a variety of needle sizes and needle eye shapes, so I have the perfect needle no matter what project I am working on. I’ve been using the tapestry needle, crochet hook, and the embroidery scissors a lot while crocheting granny squares for my son’s Minecraft blanket. The scissors are very sharp and of high quality metal, much better than the kids Fiskar scissors I had been using to snip my yarn and thread. To top it off, it all comes in a convenient and compact carry case that keeps all the items organized, perfect for my husband to take to work to mend his uniforms. We actually were fighting over if I got to keep the whole case at home, he got to take it to work, of if it should go in the car for emergency sewing repairs. We decided to split it up and pick what we wanted most for each location….I think I just need to buy another one though. I received this product at a reduced cost in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.

This sewing kit is AMAZING! It has absolutely everything you could ever possibly need to mend anything made of fabric or yarn! Seriously, I am so impressed! I've had another sewing kit for several years now. It was no where near as extensive as this kit and came in a cheesy plastic box. The lid to that box broke long ago causing me to gradually loose many pieces, so when I was given the opportunity to try this kit at a discount in exchange for an honest and unbiased review I jumped at the chance. I am sooo glad I did! Even reading the item description did not prepare me for all of the goodies this kit includes! I've never seen a kit that included a darning and crochet needle or a magnifying glass for that matter! I can not think of one thing that I would add and I've done quite a bit of hand sewing in my time. Of course it all comes safe and secure in a well made, sturdy zippered case that will keep everything together and organized for years to come! This would be a great gift for anyone. You never know when you're going to mend a seam or sew on a button. It would be especially nice for someone just starting out in their own home, a budding seamstress or to add to someone's survival stash.
