A bit of a magic trick getting this to work as expected
First, this is much smaller than expected. A single pen is the about the length of my index finger, so it doesn't handle like a standard dry erase marker would feel. Because of this, the text comes out no wider than about 1-2mm.Also, it doesn't appear to work when you're first writing. The ink is nearly invisible on my traditional green classroom chalkboard, but give it about 30 seconds and it starts to lighten and magically appear on the board. This is something to keep in mind if any educators that planned to use this as a dust chalk replacement. When erasing from my board, I find that if the paper towel is not wet enough, you'll leave smudges as you try to erase. I have yet to try it on my blackboard contact paper because I have the sense that this ink might be harder to erase from there than the other, more liquidy brand of chalk markers I bought to test out.

I didn't really like these, but I'll keep trying...
These aren't working very well for me. The ink is "gloppy" in all 5 pens and 1 of the pens was leaking out of the tip in big blobs. I wanted something with a finer tip than the big chalk markers and thought these would be the answer. I will try them with different chalkboard paper and see if I can get different results. So far, I have used them on the pieces that came with the pens and the results were almost like trying to write on wax paper. I hoped it was the paper, but it worked the same way on the chalkboard paper that I use for labels, tags, grocery list, etc (I use it everywhere!). I also tried it on some chalkboard "tags" that I purchased from Amazon (which I love). They have a little bit of a grainy texture, so I thought the pens would work better on them. It was better, but still not like the other pens I have used from Amazon. The only problem with the others is the size of the tip.If I find something that the pens will work on, I will update my review.

Cheap pens - won't purchase again.
I don't have a lot of experience with chalk markers but these ones seem to be lower quality than what I expected. The "chalk" ink goes on the board almost clear as water...then dries to a streaky white color. This is not what I had hoped for. Once these pens are used up I will not repurchase. I will probably have to spend more money to get a better quality marker.

Pretty cool little pens
I used these on chipboard signs I had painted with chalkboard spray paint, and they worked amazingly well. And it wipes right off with a wet paper towel. I was actually pretty surprised at how well they worked. One tip--at first, I thought they didn't work, I was writing and it was barely showing up, just looked like clear ink. Well, as the ink dries, the "chalk" writing begins to show up. It was actually pretty cool, but I had no idea, so I kept shaking the pen and pushing the tip down on a piece of paper, trying to get the ink to come out. Lol. I finally walked away, thinking they were junk, and when I looked at them a little while later, there was the writing. Oops, my bad. ;)

Smaller than expected.
These pens were smaller and not as crisp in writing as some others I bought. If you are looking for a very chalky lookthese work great.

Difficult to erase.
I haven't used this type of chalk before. I am disappointed to learn how difficult it is to remove.

Not Good Not as Described
These pens are not as described. I'm in the process of returning them. The liquid that comes out is mostly clear with just a touch of white in there and the ink is not smooth like some of the other pens I've used.

Disappointed
The markers were very hard to write with and the ink came out with chunks. When it dried it looked fine, but even though the descriptions say that you can easily remove with a moist towel that was not the case. I had to scrub the chalkboard sticker for a while until it started to disappear and even after that I could still see what I had written.
