excellent, practical and beautiful!!!!!!

Does not do well when you get wet.

I also received a zebra version different than the ones shown in the photos. The item sent was an older version with 3 stainless steel circles on each side of the handle. I had to return and ordered from Crate and Barrel instead.

the knives and block are beautiful and substantial looking but I did not receive the set that was listed in the photo. I received something similar - zebra and acacia wood set of 7 knives. that's disappointing! I haven't determined yet if I ended up paying more than they were worth. Haven't used them yet so I am not sure about the quality of cutting.

The handles could use sanding down -- they are quite rough to touch. The blade dulls quickly; these knives will require frequent re-sharpening.

After washing them onces the handles faded. debating returning them.

My wood handles are splintering and cracking in two years. I tried to call them but Schmidt Bros sent me this "We apologize for the inconvenience and unwarranted period of time it has taken to get back to you on this issue. We have internally overhauled our entire customer service team and hope that we can service your needs to your satisfaction." Then they never responded to any of the five responses I sent them. I am not stuck with unusable sucky knives. Buy something else!!
