Organic Cotton Deluxe Reusable Grocery Shopping Bag; Bottle Sleeves, Rigid Bottom Support (UPDATED DESIGN)

I bought 6 of these in 2015, left one behind full of groceries about 4 years ago. I was more upset about losing the bag than the groceries. I shove everything in them, none have torn or ripped, nor have any seams split, inside or outside. I have used them almost every week. Because we reuse both the paper and plastic store bags, I will occasionally skip a week. Cotton shrinks and stretches, so cold water wash, line dry, and your on your way.

I have other reusable grocery bags but I bought these for the pockets on the inside to hold glass milk and juice bottles. These bags are a very nice size, are very sturdy and work great for the bottles and other groceries. I would definitely recommend these bags.

This bag is a must have. Keeps your glass bottles, etc, from clanging together and holds a ton.

I had a set of 3 of these, and recently lost one. So I came back to Amazon to buy a replacement, and found my original order. It was from 2014, 9 years ago! You’d never know it - the two I still have are in perfect shape. These bags are a great size, very strong, and obviously also very durable. No complaints at all.

I bought two sets of these seven years ago, and use them for all of my grocery shopping and when I need a small tote. This one is currently full of small scrap wood for my wood-burner. The cloth is very sturdy, the pointy ends of wood scrap don't puncture the sides. I showed this bag because in the second picture you can see that a mouse had chewed a hole. A couple of years ago, I left a few of the bags in a heap in the garage because they were getting grungy and needed washed. Some of the grunge was ketchup or grease, so the mouse made a meal of it. But that hole hasn't widen, ripped or effected the utility of the bag. I'm writing this review because it is time to get a few more, and I'm surprised that the company is still around and that the bags are two bucks cheaper. Many of the bags you will see on Amazon are cheap knock-offs from companies that will be here and gone.When I think of it, every couple of months or so, I throw them in the washing machine. This is my worst looking bag, and its been washed maybe 40 times. I bought black, and the color isn't fading or washing out. When I bought these, I cut out the inner liner to reduce bulk and didn't think I needed that feature. When the new set of bags I just ordered arrive, I'm going to keep the liner and see how I like it.My city just banned plastic grocery bags, but paper bags are also irritating. You could fill these bags with broken bricks, and they wouldn't split, and you can tie the handles so nothing rolls out. Using them for groceries, these bags would last a couple of dozen years.

They take a lot of abuse and hold up wonderfully

I bought this set three months ago and have been using each bag at least once a week since. They are very sturdy and hold more groceries than paper bags do. I can put about 20 pounds of groceries in one bag with no problem. The straps are thick and comfortable so you can sling your groceries over your shoulder and strut out of the store like a film star while the people around you push their noisy carts filled with little petroleum bags (slide a baguette into one of the bottle sleeves for added effect).People seem to have mixed responses to whether the bags stand on their own. Well they do...right after they have been washed and dried, but like cotton garments, they stretch and soften with use. Think of how jeans shrink a little in the dryer and seem stiff until you have worn them for an hour or so. The bottom line is that if I use each bag only once before washing them again, I have no issues getting them to stand up, but if I use them more than once they will get really saggy and I need to shove my groceries into them like Santa stuffing his sack. I posted a picture of how stiff they are right after drying.Washing Tips:I have not had noticeable issues with shrinkage or bad wrinkles by using these methods. I wash them on a delicate cycle using cold water. Then I line dry them by placing a clothes pin on each handle. Then I gently pull the corners and sides of each bag into its rectangular shape until it resembles a floating box. They remain stiffer if you leave them hanging until it's time to use them. They wrinkle slightly, but not like the balls of incurably wrinkled mass that some other reviewers were describing.Note: Some people argue against reusable grocery bags by claiming it is equally bad for the environment to wash additional loads of laundry to clean them. I throw these in with the rest of my cold water delicates. They require no separate load and the vinegar I use as fabric softener keeps the colors bright.

quality material/inside sleeves for bottles

I love these shopping bags. I bought two blue and two green ones. They are roomy but the inserts allow for some organizing if needed. I keep getting compliments on them at the checkout counter. My only complaint is a minor quibble, but I am fairly tall and yet the handles are long enough that the bag bottoms can brush the ground if I'm not careful. I'm going to figure out how to shorten them slightly to still allow being carried on the shoulder, but keep them off the ground if carried in the hand. Other than that I find them perfect in every way.

Would have given 5 stars except the bottle sleeves are quite short so that smaller bottles or jars just fall straight through to the bottom of the bag rendering the sleeves useless. As this was the main reason I purchased these I feel 3 stars is fair. Otherwise the bags are a beautiful green, sturdy and spacious with comfortable straps!

Look like great bags! Well made & heavy duty. Love the separation for bottles! Bought these for grocery shopping when on vacation & I need to walk or travel by bus.

Large, strong, more than adequate to pack bottles, cans and other heavy grocery items. Bottle slots are a great bonus to keep them upright and balanced in the bag.
