Overall, a good book
The book is good. The plot has become a little boring. I hope the plot will be better in the next book.

Brilliant series...
These books are fabulous. The best set of books I've ever seen for getting reluctant readers to start enjoying reading.Keep them coming!

What happened to the fun, witty, light-hearted theme??
Really not sure what happened here? Did Blabey forget who his target audience is?Our child loves(-ed) the Bad Guys series! We bought and own every book in the series, from the very beginning, and used to place an order for the next book as soon as it would show up on Amazon, + bought numerous box-sets for presents, recommended it to family, friends, co-workers...They were always fun, witty, engaging... Until now. (to be specific until Chapter 4).Namely, this morning our child (9) came to us saying he didn't like the book, because he "got scared" and "confused" -- when asked to explain further he noted the "letters became big like Halloween" and "something was telling Snake to be bad", and "Snake started looking scary, with horns..." so he stopped reading it.So we read the book and it was easy to see where his perceptions came from. To be quite frank: we are not pleased with the departure from the children-friendly, lighthearted, lots-of-fun-type theme to a more occult, dark, FAUSTIAN narrative, with insinuations that are simply too much for many young reads to comprehend! (... PG rating for parents to decide if suitable for their child?)Due to this, we will NOT be pre-ordering the next book like we used to... (in fact contemplating returning this one as well, since most of the book was -to use our son's words- "dark and scary". It started great like they always do and then bam... would not really miss #11 from the collection). We'll check the #12 out just after it gets to the stores so we can review it and decide if it's good or bad for our child (...pun intended).Truly hope that Blabey remembers his primary audience and returns back to the funny, light, feel-good narrative.

Declining in quality
My daughter has loved these books from the start. This one she says doesn't live up to the previous ones.

Downhill after the 8th.
The first 8 of the series were good. The last few...terrible. Slapped together with very little effort. A waste of money. Not enjoyable.
