A lot of the reviews are saying the box is not hinged. It is hinged through the novel use of the screws. You loosen the two screws on the side you want to hinge on and completely remove the other two screws. The lid will then hinge on the loosened two screws. This is helpful as it allows the lid to hinge on any side.Other than that, the box is sturdy and easily drillable with a wood or HSS drill.

Got a couple of these for a friend, just right for their electronic projects.

Needed to tidy up a jumble of wires in our garage, associated with a security camera system. This was easy to drill and cut, sturdy, and the way the door "sort of" hinges is a real boon when wiring it all up.

Bought this for my tapo camera as it needs 13A socket. I had mains supply outside. So needed junction box socket and power plug.I know the up rating is not water proof. I have sealed the out side with tape. Hope this helps keep water out.
