You can use this for general purpose distillation and even with care some fractional distillation. There are stops so that you can add a couple of inches of packing in the column if you want.Nicely made and comes with a box that it fits in and that you will want to keep.You will want something for a thermometer at the top. I prefer a cheap digital thermometer stuck through a silicone stopper.You will also need a vacuum takeoff if you are going to connect the output to a flask.

Very well made and a good size for 2-5 L distilling flasks. We are going to try our 10L setup next.

Bought 2 of these. Neither one survived in ultrasonic cleaner. Have never had this problem with any other stillheads.
