Great pen
I was looking for a solid pen for defense and for an emergency glass break. This is an unassuming pen without tactical graphics, gnurling, beveled edges or an exposed glass break. The pen is slim and comfortable. It writes well and the action is smooth. The bolt moves up and locks for the glass break and moves down and locks for the pen.The pen is easily disassembled and is stable.Overall I am pleased with the design.

Great pen
I wanted to get a pen I could use everyday that was a little more sturdy and specific to me. I wasn't looking for anything crazy or expensive and this fit the bill. Comes with a nice case and feels really good in the hand. No real hot spots or areas that are uncomfortable. The action lever for the ballpoint pen is very fidgety and mostly smooth. Given the price point I'm fine with it being a little sticky here and there. The action is mostly smooth. The top of the pen has a small point for breaking glass etc. Honestly, not sure how useful that is but given the design and the fact that it is metal, I'm sure it would do the trick in a pinch. The writing itself is not bad and I like the look of the ink. I will say, however, that occasionally the ink gloms up on the first time writing something if you haven't used the pen much. Other than that no issues. The pocket clip is solid, sturdy and has just enough wiggle room to fit most pockets etc. This is a great bang for your buck and I think will meet most people's needs.

Great EDC pen
Who doesn’t love a good pen. Especially one with form and function. This pen definitely fits the bill, this is the quintessential tacticool pen. It writes well, and is comfortable in the hand. But it is a bit small so it takes some getting used to if you have big hands. The glass breaker is a nice touch as sometimes the knives I carry don’t have them. The bolt action is smooth and is well built with no play. The cartridge writes well (the gelions are sold on amazon too which is a plus). Overall I highly recommend this pen whether as a tacticool tool or just as a nice EDC pen.

I love this pen. It’s an excellent EDC pen for those opting for full-size instead of mini.
I love this pen! It’s my EDC pen, and goes in my wallet until I use it, then it goes in my shirt pocket. I have had my main pen for over a year, with intent to keep it until I can’t refill the ink anymore. I bought a second pen, and a couple of 10-pack Gelion+ blue ink refills to squirrel away. I use it for work (library), school (note-taking), filling out forms and documents, and fidget with it.My wife and I bought a car recently, and the finance manager noticed my pen and the Gelion+ blue ink. He made me share the listings with him so he can get his own.

Bolt action up is not smooth. Lightweight, sturdy pen though.
The bolt action down (deploying the ink cartridge tip) is smooth and easy and is great to fidget with. It does squeak a little bit. Hopefully that will go away. The bolt action up (deploying the tungsten steel), however, is "gritty" and sticks. It is usually stubborn going into the locked position. It also squeaks. I'm hoping that it'll smoothen out with usage.I don't care for the ink cartridge it came with. I may try another refill that I like if I find that the bolt action improves over time with use.Overall, I like the appearance and build quality. It is lightweight and a good length. I wish it was a little bit thicker though. The clip works well. It is sturdy and stiff but clip easily when slipping into a pocket.

Wouldn't recommend
I had an older Gerber tactical pen, which I loved and a surplus of Parker refills. I bought another Gerber without reading the small print and they no longer accept the standard Parker refill. I purchased a Smoothpro and this one, which arrived later. Don’t care much for the Smoothpro, but I really do like this one. It feels nice in the hand. Build quality seems pretty good. It functions smoothly and it accepts the Parker refill. My only issue is I had to trim the plastic end of the refill ever so slight to make this pen function correctly. I purchased a second one of these and it accepted the refill so I’m guess my first one has a small issue. I am a LEO for just shy of 27 years. I highly recommend this pen!Well, less than a year later, the pen will no longer stay locked in open/extended position. The aluminum barrel is too soft and rounded where the bolt slides over to the side to stay open. In essence, it won't stay open without one holding your thumb on it.

Maybe this one's just defective
The pen writes great and feels nice. Solid weight. But the mechanism inside the bolt area seems very rough. It's not smooth kind grinds a little bit.
