Good price for a good all-around use radio
Overall, this was a great deal and a great cost.Four radios for one low price is hard to beat. These radios weren't so small that they were hard to work with, but weren't so big that they would get in the way.I had these opened and on the air rather quickly. I tested them out with my wife and kids. The sound quality was good, and the channel selection allowed us to use the radios without much worry of interference. After using them for a while, we actually picked up another person using the frequency, who we think was at the sports park about 1/3 of a mile away. The radios have your standards for frequency options and channel isolation, allowing you to use a frequency without having everyone else interfering. It also had a call feature you could make unique to each unit so you can easily hear and identify if someone is trying to contact you. It even has a powerful LED that you can use as a flashlight. The radios got constant use by my kids for over an hour with little draw on the batteries. They were dropped and used by kids who don't care of they break something, and it stood up to them.I'm glad that I got these. I've been wanting something we can use around the property and while out and about. They are user friendly, as powerful as FCC specifications allow, and a good deal for a four pack of radios.

Best present for 9yr old
Got these for my little brother for Christmas. Got the 4 pack. They are great!! If you are to get a quality kind for adults, these would be it but for young kids! Honestly any age can use them but price wise is perfect for a good quality for a child. They work great, has a small flighlight on it, sound is nice and loud. We ended up testing out some of the channels and a random person most likely a trucker dude with his walkie talkie on the main road responded!! Of course he said “stfu” sooooo just be careful with the other channels with saying hi on them. But overall great quality!!

Been very handy
I bought these for kayak fishing with my boyfriend and camping with our kids. Ended using these often while working on California's fires with my partners. Has pretty good range, easy to use, and clear voice.

Perfect Neighborhood/Camping family communication
I was skeptical of the quality of these due to the price, but these are perfect for what we needed them for. Our neighborhood is made up of a few loops and our kids want to be able to ride bikes and play outside with their friends. You can never tell who the creepy people are these days and having a way to quickly communicate with our kids is a necessity when they aren't in range of eyesight. These walkie talkies are loud, clear, and easy enough for my 5 year old to use them (although he isn't allowed outside alone yet). The battery life is amazing. We use these several times a week and have been for a few months and the battery is still going strong. The cons: the tone you can push as a "ringer" is extremely easy to accidentally push when you're on the go. Probably the most annoying feature, although it is am attention grabber for sure. The flashlight is very dim, but we never use it so it isn't a deal breaker for usI wish the clip was stronger and adjustable. It is easy for it to fall off of your pants/bike if you are going over bumps. We just find other ways to secure it.Overall, I would definitely buy these again.

Fabulous for the Price. Last forever.
Bought these for camping and they were perfect. They have great range. At least a couple of miles. I was able to speak to my son while I was in the camper and he was on a canoe in the middle of a lake a couple of miles away. Super helpful for giving the kids a little freedom but giving mama some peace of mind:) They also hold battery power really well. We used them on a 5 day trip and they were on for at least 50% of every day and we still have battery left. I agonized and read a million reviews of a million walkie and am really glad I took the plunge and settled on these. Exactly what I wanted and you can't beat the price!

They are OK
The price is good but the quality is not great. All 4 within a couple months has stuck buttons. Once that happens you cannot have 2 way communication. The distance is pretty good, we have 15 acres and can hear each other all over the property. However once buttons get stuck all you hear is that one system. Wouldn't buy again.

Great Value
These lightweight small handheld radios are a great value. They are durable, simple to use, and can be used with both alkaline and rechargeable batteries. The only con is, they are limited to an output of .5 watts. My Motorola T600s can push out 2 Watts on GMRS channels and it can reach farther distances. My kids used these to talk to kids in the neighborhood while inside their houses and while cruising around on bikes. We used these 1/4 mile inside brick homes with about 8 brick home houses in between. There was static noise, but that is expected. These will give you a reliable contact mechanism when you are in range. If you need something for a campsite or in the neighborhood, these are great. If you need something for long range then go with the Motorola's or just get a ham radio that you can program with gmrs frequencies. These walkie talkies = .5 WattsMotorola T600 = 2 WattsUV-5R = 5 Watts

Totally dead the 3rd time we used them!!
Completely disappointed in the product quality. One of the walkies completely failed about 15 days outside of the return window... Maybe 2 months after we received them? I put a brand new set of namebrand batteries in there, turned it on and the circuit board fried. I go to take the batteries out and they're really warm. Tried with a different set of name brand batteries and they got very warm within seconds also.Sound quality was fine on Christmas when our kids got them but this is a joke of craftsmanship
