Forget using a footstool
Wow, this works a treat! I think for a beginner, like myself, it's a must have! The key benefit is it ensures you always have the correct neck angle, once you have it setup correctly. This helps greatly with getting everything else into a good posture so it's perfect for starting and developing good technique. But it is also *much* more comfortable than using a footstool or method of elevating your left knee. My leg was going to sleep and the edge of the bottom bout was pushing uncomfortable against my right thigh. That was the main motivation to try this other type of guitar support.Another benefit I noticed right away, but some may find it a negative, is the support makes it hard to do that thing we do as beginners where we crane over or tilt the guitar so we can look at the fretboard to see where our fingers are at. While it is natural to want to do that, it is better to develop your fingers' spacial awareness early on, and in the process avoid getting stiff necks and shoulder pain. The minor con are is that it uses suction cups to attach, which most of these types of supports use, so there are some key things to remember:1. Research more about how to add supports if your guitar is expensive, vintage or has delicate finish or a matt finish. Most mid to low range guitars will have a glossy polyurethane finish which will be fine for suction cups directly.2. Clean the suction cups with warm soapy water, rinse and dry to remove all oils and dust. Same goes for the area on the instrument where the cups will attach.3. First though try different attachment points and strap lengths so that you have the instrument positioned how you like it.In summary: I think for starting out with classical guitar this is perfect for home practice use. If you get more serious about playing then there are other more sophisticated supports to try.I'll update in a few months if I find there are issues with suction cups over time.

Perfect!
I play jazz manouche, django style stuff. I just used it on a gig tonight after it came in the mail today. Wow! My volume, tone, and comfort were all improved dramatically. I can also hear myself more, even. Functions perfectly. After a couple tries I found the right angle and will leave the strap there. Suctions right on and plies right off when you're done. Folds up and fits nicely in the pocket of my hard case. Worth it. Only thing I'll say what others have: if you don't have a gloss or maybe semi gloss finish, it won't stick without the provided pad. Thanks!!

Very decent guitar support
I developed a pretty bad pain in my right rhomboid muscle (the muscle right on edge of the shoulder blade) due to wrong posture while playing my classical guitar so I looked for a way to remedy the situation. This product is pretty good. Easy to install, compact and most importantly, able to correct my posture. The suction cups can slip off at times. Make sure you clean them and the areas they attach to with a damp clean cloth (rubbing alcohol works well).I wish that it was adjustable as it was a bit small and the sound hole will not stay in the middle of one's torso but rather favor towards the left. I've occasionally used a thick pad together with it to get my guitar in the preferred position.Since I started using this guitar support, my bad rhomboid pain has almost disappeared.

Finally. A Classical Guitar Support That Really Works!
After a bad experience with the top line Ergoplay support, I took a chance and ordered the TGPS. Was not expecting much, but a pleasant surprise. The suction cups, while obviously not the super expensive ones which are on the Ergoplay, are acceptable. Once I found the proper spot on my Woodstreet-restored Guild MKlll, and gave a good final push, they have not budged through many hours of playing. It is comfortable while playing with one exception. It needed a little non-slip for the nylon strap which rests on the knee. Solution: the shelf liner that is sold everywhere which is like a small waffle weave. Just drape a piece over the left knee, and the TPGS will snuggle right in there and not slip off. I can really say, it has improved my posture while playing and allowed me to extend practice time. As for construction, it is acceptable for the purpose. Not cheap and not a Mercedes either. But good enough to please me, the old quality freak, and that is saying a lot. Note the second picture. It actually folds right up and fits in the case. Now how slick is that? Highly recommended!
