Good quality and potency O-3 for my senior dog
I give 2 of these daily to my senior dog ( 15+ yr.old ) along with a hip and joint supplement, she has had improvement in her age related problems. She was having severe problems with her back hips and knees causing her pain to the point of being vocal about it when moving and me having to assist or carry her (not an easy feat for me ) up and down steps. I started her on a hip and joint supplement first for about 2 months with a little improvement then added the Omega-3 fish oil and improvement continued. She is doing much better ( for her age) with minor assist from me on occasion. These capsules are higher in EPA and DHA than most others that I have compared and price is good. I only have to give my dog 2 capsules instead of 3. Even though these are bacon flavored my dog will eat them mixed in with her food ( dry + canned ) most times but if she leaves it in her dish I just put it in between a piece of bread with peanut butter and problem solved. I have also pierced the capsule and squeezed the oil onto her food. It's not the flavor of the capsule or oil that is the problem it's the weird texture of the gel-cap. Sometimes the empty shell is left in her dish because she bit into it and oil came out, she chewed but then spit the shell out.Dogs are funny.I'm used to it. She is part Lab so not as picky as most. I'm happy with these and have been reordering them for months now. I have not tried these myself,but my Doctor recommended I take an omega-3 for my problems too.

Dogs prefer this over other brands.
I bought several brands and my four dogs (50, 60, 70 & 130 pounds) all prefer this brand. The two reasons I didn't give this product give stars are:1) I really need a larger size bottle buying option2) The dogs have only been on it for 3 weeks so I can't judge its effectiveness yet.That being said, the dogs really like it.

Careful. Smallest dose possible is for 60# dog.
While they may be high quality, the dosage instructions on Amazon are indecipherable. So, I ordered, opened and went to give. But as a "just in case", checked the dosage. One pill is for a 60# dog. Mine is 18#. And no way to split the things into thirds or halves even. Hoping they can be returned. May be a good product if your dog is 60# or 120# but not for dogs any smaller .
