Truly folks this product works, I had little to no execptations because I didn't see how this could stop a dog in it tracks but it really does! Let me explain though why the "BUT"The "but" is because you CANNOT have any barrier between the device and the dog. In other words if you trying to use this to get your neighbors dog to stop barking you'd need to be able to get the device clearly pointed at the dog to get it to stop. Recently my landlord let the house next to me move in with FOUR PIT BULLS! The fence between there house and mine is over 30 years old and rotting! These dogs have been snarling and growling and literally throwing themselves at my fence after my poor two rescues who are half their size! I put up a privacy screen to cover the fence and it helped a little bit BUT when those pit bulls smell my dogs outside the chaos begins and my nerves are totally shot. I tried pointing this thing at the dog on the other side of the fence and it doesn't work. However when I point it at my dogs within seconds they are pulling their ears back and running away. I feel horrible because I'm not trying to punish my dogs and I don't think it hurts them at all but it definitely scares them. My 13 year old Corgi/Doxie rescue is very hard of hearing and she can even hear this thing! So just know that if you buy this to train your own dogs it will work, or if you're out on a walk and want to deter your dog or another dog from engaging in bad behavior it will work. But it won't work if you're trying to get your nut job neighbors 4 pit bulls to stop attacking the fence.

I was skeptical about this product, as similar ones had mixed reviews. However I got this to help train my dog to stop barking and whining at noises in ur apartment, and she HATES the sound. I use it very limitedly, and the warning sound is an A+ add-on, as the dog will eventually learn to associate the beep with the sonic sound and stop the behavior without needing to use the sonic feature. After a while she gets used to it, so I switch the setting, and it works over and over. That said, they will get used to it, so I wouldn't recommend using it as a primary training tool, rather something to supplement what you are doing. A final 'punishment' if you will.Another AMAZING feature I discovered, is that it works for other dogs too, especially if they've never encountered it. On the second day of owning the device, I took my dog out for a run, and another person was out with their dog off leash. They made 0 attempt to grab their dog, which was annoying, and it came sprinting at my dog who has had a history of abuse and intimidation by other dogs, so she is very territorial. Usually, she would put her hackles up and try to jump at the dog, but I simply stopped, told her to sit, and pointed the device at the incoming dog and fired it. I literally never write reviews, but the second the dog heard the sound, it immediately flipped around in-step and ran back to its terrible owner who got a glare from me, and we continued on our way.If you have a dog that gets stuck in 'lizard brain' and can't be consoled for training, this is an EXCELLENT product to regain their attention. If you frequently encounter stray dogs, irresponsible owners, or are a delivery person of any kind, I would highly recommend considering this product as it WORKS.

I liked this product and it worked well to deter my dog from barking but if she was in full barking mode it wouldn't stop her from barking.

Works great for my dog… I know just have to show it to him and he stops barking…. Used it for about 30 days before he started doing that.

Does not stop them dead in their tracks, some dogs just look up others nothing.

Works really well and at distances of up to 30-40ft for dogs. I even tried to use it for noisy Illegal tropical birds that my Harlem trash neighbors tried smuggling into my luxury condo. It seemed to work?!? Great range, possibly works on more than dogs.

I have just gotten a dog, 3 years old from the pound. His behavior was obnoxious. He was like a flying bullet in the car. Barking at every thing on the road, every person, every car. I couldn't go through a drive-thru without him trying to get out the window and eat the person behind the window. I didn't want to take him anywhere. I bought this device. Took him for a ride, used it approximately five times using the word Quiet every time I set it off. When we went through the drive-thru I clicked it and said Quiet. I now have a different dog. I have not had to use the device since. All I have to say is Quiet and his behavior is immediately stopped. So when we ride in the car now he sits in the seat and he doesn't bark and doesn't say anything when I go through drive-throughs. It is amazing. I now have a dog I can enjoy. All it took was a 2-mile drive and this ultrasonic device being set off about five times and I had a different dog. I thought I was going to have to use the clicker for some other behavior issues. But now when we go for a walk he doesn't bark at people with other dogs again. I just have to say quiet if he starts to get antsy. Great investment!!
