Lately, I've been trying to get rid of all my plastic kitchen utensils and replace them with all-natural alternatives. These work well, but there were two problems... #1: I purchased them because wood is a good alternative to using plastic utensils, BUT they were all in the box individually wrapped in plastic! *face palm*... LOL! And #2: One of them arrived splintered in a couple of places so I had to take some sandpaper to it to make it usable.

This is a great set of cookware. They are decent quality (not the best, but certainly not bad at all), and there is enough variety without too much duplication of functionality. I am on a quest to eliminate plastic from my home wherever I can and I'm happy with this purchase to replace my old plastic cookware that I've had since college.

When I received this set it was beautiful. However the salad fork was splintered. I contacted the seller. They responded in a kind and courteous way which is rare nowadays. They sent a replacement immediately. Each piece is sturdy and works well.

Be prepared to spend tedious time cleaning the “black stuff” off the pieces with cut edges, slots and holes!The pieces are pretty, but the ones with cut edges, slots and holes have “black stuff” on the cut edges/slots/holes. I washed the pieces when I received them in dish detergent water, and when I dried them, the black stuff came off on my dish towel as per the photo. When I couldn’t wash it off, I contacted the company. I was told it may be oxidized wood dust and to scrub them with a paste of baking soda and vinegar. I did that, but used a lot of baking soda and vinegar and spent tedious time with a bottle brush (you need a really teeny one to get in all those holes on the spoon!!).Update: I went from 1 to 3 stars because of the good customer service, they issued a partial refund.

11/13/2023Received mine a few days ago. I love my Aiuhi wooden utensils BUT the ladle has a small crack and is splintered so I can’t use it and the pasta spoon came chipped and also splintering so unable to use it as well. This is how they arrived right out of the box. The pasta spoon and the whisk were the 2 main utensils I was looking for. I’m going to reach out to the seller to see if I can just get those 2 pieces replaced so I don’t have to send the whole set back. I live in a very rural area and half to drive an hour to send it back. Not worth it. Fingers crossed that the seller will have good customer service and will just ship me the 2 replacement pieces.Will update with resolution.UPDATE :Was not able to contact the seller BUT Amazon made it right. They sent me out a whole new set and I got to keep the first one. No defects in the replacement set. Very happy with this and the replacement arrived about 4 days after I spoke with Amazon.2/22/24These are great! I use them everyday. Great quality! No issues what so ever. Highly recommend!
