The best wire insulation stripper. Change my mind
I dont why I didn buy this sooner. This thing is so easy to use and saves all that precious cooper and its no hassle. Best stripper for al gauge wire feom 2/0 welding cable to 8awg that I have used. Also it may not look like it but things thing is very well built and study. It should last for years of heavy use. I would think. Love it. Get one. The price is perfect.

Worth the money
I was skeptical at first I had to strip some 6/3 soow cable. I looked at the blade and said to myself it’s not going to happen. To my surprise it worked like a charm. Just as it’s advertised it cut thru the jacket and I was able to peel the jacket away from the cable. Now mind me it took a little strength but it did it. I highly recommend if you have some heavy cable to strip this is the tool for the job! Make sure the longest end of the blade is pointing down so you can turn the tool clockwise towards you 3 or 4 times to cut thru the jacket. Once that’s completed without removing the tool from the cable push the tool towards the end of the cable till it’s completely removed from the cable. Now you should be able to peel the jacket off.

Does it’s job
Pretty good used it on thick 1/0 AWG wire. It’s a little difficult to get a perfect symmetrical cut but it works fine

Do not buy this.
**Review: Disappointing Wire Cutter - Not What It Claims to Be** I recently purchased this wire cutter, drawn in by the claim that it was made in Germany, but my experience has been quite frustrating. It's clear that this tool is actually manufactured in China, which is misleading and disappointing. The performance of the wire cutter is far from satisfactory. The blade struggles to cut through wire, and applying pressure only makes the situation worse. The tool tends to move around rather than providing a clean cut, and when I try to push harder to get through the wire, the adjuster shifts out of place, making the cutting process even more difficult. Overall, this wire cutter does not live up to its promises or expectations. It’s unreliable and poorly designed, and I would strongly advise against purchasing it. There are better options out there that actually deliver on their promises and provide a solid, functional tool.

Handy tool for car stereo!
Nice wire stripper without clipping wires.

works great
It took me a minute to get used to it because the tool would progressively climb up the wire as I was turning it. All I had to do was keep it pressed against my hand so it wouldn't move. Once adjusted properly, it will not break any strands. Very good for stripping the same size wire over and over.

Best cable stripper
This tool works flawlessly when stripping large fine stranded battery cables. It does take some set up for each different wire size and insulation thickness, but once it’s set correctly, it doesn’t nick any conductors. It even works well on multi conductor SJ style cord, for removing the outer jacket.

This thing doesn't like me.
Cheap, works, tends to spiral up the insulation because the blade is designed to swivel, instead of staying correctly oriented. The reason is skimping; there SHOULD be a tab or something to keep the blade straight, but it is directly attached to the adjuster, apparently. Anyhow, the price is nice but the function is very disappointing. On the other hand, some people love these; I am sure I can give it away instead of throwing it away. I have this sitting on my bench and I'm stripping wires with a razor blade again. At 20 bucks, no loss; if it was 40 I'd be angry.
